Every relationship provides you with lessons you can use to become better next time. Mine was short-lived, intense, and it taught me these things:

  1. Don’t talk about sex a lot even though he's your boyfriend. Maintain its mystery. Talk about your fantasies every now and then, but don't do it often. It should be a treat for him.
  2. Lie about your romantic and sexual past. It's none of his business. If he asks, you've had less than 5 exes. They all treated you great. Don't tell him you've been cheated on before. Make him think you're too good for that. Trust me: there's no need to feel guilty about embellishing the truth. If you want maximum success, just do it. The people who get what they want in life aren't afraid to get their hands a little dirty.
  3. Don’t appear too crazy in bed. Keep those naughty fantasies to yourself.
  4. Slow it the fuck down. Meet twice a week max if he's your boyfriend and once a week if he still hasn't made it official. You need to protect your heart. Don't agree to exclusivity before 3 months has passed. You're doing this to protect your heart.
  5. If you've had emotional struggles before, don't reveal it too early. Reveal it after 6 months or later on. Your confidence should be earned.
  6. Don’t talk about your past men. Keep it super vague. He doesn't need to know.
  7. Reserve the naughty acts till after 6 months or a year. If you want him to love you and treat you well, be content with passionate vanilla sex.
  8. Even when you’re in a relationship, still maintain your distance. Make sure you go to social events at least 3x a week where you meet new people and see your friends. Spend the majority of your time working on your career, gaining new valuable skills, working out, reading, and socializing. Live a full life. If you're in the same social circle as him, limit seeing him there. You meeting there doesn't count as a date.
  9. Don’t give too much of yourself too soon. Make them earn every fucking thing. Slow it down.
  10. Keep your heart on lock.  He might treat you a queen and appears to love you so much but remember: AMALT (All Men Are Like That). He is still a man and he's not exempt from the principles we talk about here, no matter how amazing he seems. Be cautious. Keep your heart on lock. Always be ready to walk away. If you feel like you're getting too close to him to the point where it will hurt if you walk away, put some distance between the two of you so you can regain your sanity and you can return to the point of being able to walk away at any point.
