This guy I was friends with but he wanted to have sex and I have zero libido and didn’t want to. He left town last week and the day before he left I asked him if he would like to catch up before he goes (lunch or something in the day). He said he would and said he would let me know what time he was free. I didn’t get a message until later that afternoon. He didn’t have time and the message was very short and vague.

A week later I get a message out of the blue. He tells me he’s sorry he didn’t get time to see me because (insert his whole day’s itinerary).

Firstly, he could of said this in the message on the DAY which would have been fine, I get it he had family commitments. I didn’t get that detail it was a throwaway message at the last minute.

So now I need to decide if I A) leave his message on read and no longer respond

Or B) I knew you had family commitments but it would’ve been nice to know that day, so I’m afraid it’s too little, too late.

This is someone I’ve known for 15 years and who has clearly been using me for an ego boost now he’s single.
