Yeah. I’ve worked really hard at this. I’ve had to do it with friends and family members.

I’m not going to lie and say I don’t grieve for those losses and miss those people. I would be a sociopath if I didn’t.

But I have to just compartmentalise that while continuing to move on with my life. Those people didn’t treat me well, and I did everything I could to fix things before finally giving up. They are very unhappy people who will not fulfil their potential in life and they are angry that I am fulfilling mine.

Now in my life I don’t give people a ton of chances. Depending on the situation they may get a second chance. But in general it’s a no.

Exactly. When you're not receiving the same level of energy you're putting out, hang back for a second. Do they notice? If so, do they feel entitled to that energy without giving anything in return? Ask yourself honestly.
