I haven't opened tinder or any dating app in a long time basically because the place I lived was atrocious when it came to quality single men (I'm not even kidding and this is an opinion shared by several of my girlfriends there too).

So I moved to another place and open tinder. A trend I see a lot these days is these 2:

1) "I'm not so good at keeping contact/ if you're interested hit me up/send me a message"

When I pass this through my BS translator it reads: "I'm a low effort man, so you're always going to be the one pursuing me. I don't want to have the work to court women, so I'll just sit here and you do the work" . I swipe left immediately. Maybe they're different with someone they're really into, but I don't want to take my chances with men to whom dating is sitting waiting for the woman to send the message or come up with date ideas. Also most of the times these men don't even show interest if you hit them up.

2) "Looking for friendship that can develop to something/ Looking to meet someone interesting and we'll see/ it might lead to something serious/looking for adventurous woman and maybe if we get along things can get more permanent" or some sort of variation of this.

My BS translator says: "I'm looking for casual relationships and sex but I'm not going to say it directly because that scares women away and most want something more. So I'll give them the hope, and if they complain after a while of non commitment sex, I can always say "but I told you, it was on my profile". Also swipe left immediately.

Honorable mentions to:

- Writing their bios as if you're the one that has to impress them. Usually guys that aren't even all that.

- Asking you what you're looking for in a way you know it's to gauge how to get into your pants in the easiest and low risk way possible lol
