Don’t like your apologetic tone I’m picking up on you here. You seem to be putting yourself in an inferior position to him. Here at FDS we do not do that. He shouldn’t pry about your sexual history and him saying he is a not h on a bedpost, he should be so lucky. I don’t like something here. I think you’re going to feel like you will have to compensate for whatever the next thing comes up.

You're totally right. He is lucky. While I've been with more men than he was expecting, all of it led to the woman I am today. And I know myself and what I want/don't want because of it. I walked him back into his lane about it all. I chose to be honest out of respect, but if something like that, which has nothing to do with him, causes him to respect me less, I know where the door is.

Is he “a bit older” or ...older? It feels off to me that you need to “prove yourself” to him. I’d also be curious about how or why your sexual history came up in conversation.

I honestly don't remember how it did, but it wasn't in an accusatory way. I think he may have felt self-conscious about the fact that while he's older, I've had more "experience" in that department?

You shouldn’t have to feel like you have to prove yourself. He can either take you at your word and your actions, or it’s his loss. There’s no reason to change your behavior or the dynamic in the relationship.

So far, the green to red flag ratio is pretty uneven. This is the only red flag I've seen from him. But I'm definitely paying attention now.
