Hi ladies, I have a question that has been plaguing my mind for the last few months.

I am totally of the mindset that a woman’s money is her own, and that a man should never know the full extent of your financial situation.

This is all fine and easy as BF and GF, but how are my engaged and married gals coping with this? Specifically, for filing taxes. I’m from Canada, and how taxes for married couples works is: you submit your own tax return, but you MUST include your spouses Social Insurance Number and last years income.

How are you supposed to keep you salary a secret when you have to literally provide it for your spouses tax return? There seems to be no way of getting out of this.

I’m planning on keeping my own savings account, but can anyone provide any additional info on this topic?
