I know this is THE dating strategy subreddit, however I’d like to talk about something else: being single. Before a certain event in my life, I had a legitimate subconscious fear of ending up alone. I’d give losers a chance just because “what if they’re the best you can get”. I realize now that my self esteem was and still is garbage. However, my fear of ending up alone died. It’s legit dead after this event. I see no issue with being alone. We hear this a lot but being alone is not worse than being in a bad relationship. Please ladies, even if you don’t want to go FULL FDS just yet, do not settle for bad behavior. I’m not saying don’t be understanding or compromising because everyone has flaws. But don’t settle for someone who doesn’t genuinely love you, someone who doesn’t want to uplift you and see you grow, someone who doesn’t respect you and honor, and someone who doesn’t make you feel good about yourself. It doesn’t matter if he helped you write your law school apps. If he tore you down every step of the way, he’s not the guy for you.
