This post was simply more focused on the message.

Bratz and Barbie dolls were IT in the early 2000s I loved them as a kid. I know some parents during that time may have seen Bratz dolls as being sexual and didn’t approve of the makeup. But the kids that played with them probably didn’t care about that. They were fun to play with and diverse. BIPOC women that grew up during that era loved seeing a doll that was diverse and maybe looked like them. Bratz brought diversity to the table unlike Barbie during the time. Lots of girls in the early 2000s liked them and were inspired by them. A lot of the popular makeup you see today is similar to the Bratz dolls’ makeup.

Anyways, Women should be able to wear what they want and do their makeup however they like. If they want to wear sexy or revealing clothing , so be it. Or if they want to cover up more, so be it. Or if they want big lips and want to do their makeup similar to what the dolls have on, that’s completely okay.

We shouldn’t criticize or look down on women who want to do their makeup like that or wear that type of clothing.
