I don't think any anti-porn sentiment will ever gain mainstream media attention from the left or right. All the writers are too connected to other writers involved in books, TV, and movie writing, and all media benefits from people using sexualized media as a replacement for sex. A lot of the people writing modern fiction are probably sexually fixated on older media properties.

Because in reality, the most outspoken against porn (as in they are actually trying to do something about the industry, rather than just rail against it and say “don’t do it”) are the radical feminists, whose politics fall on the left. And far right “anything goes” libertarians totally support porn.

Well, at least the article referenced the objectification of women and didn’t make a case for quitting it that solely revolved around out-of-service dicks.

I knew someone who tried to justify the use of pornography, by saying that it stops men from having violent urges. He sent me a few scientific journals as well. Lol

He’ agrees with Jordan Peterson, and says that his arguments make sense.

We’re no longer speaking after that conversation. I lost so much respect for him after that.
