This is personal opinion, but any guy who buys lingerie for me is not going to see me wear it, but a resounding, “do you have a receipt?” Straight up, Victoria lingeries goes for like $150/set in my country. I’ll probably get something that I ACTUALLY like and he can sit there and sulk. On a side note, I always what would happen and if women did the same thing and buy them underwear. Would they be mad that I bought them the wrong underwear, and got them tighty-whities because I think that their …

There was like so many ads popping up in my phone lol This looks more like a blog rather than something off of a legit source that I would take seriously. This author sounds like he needs someone to stroke his ego. It feels like a cry for attention and some pickme is going to willingly agree with this bs.

Oooohhh this happened to me last week! Met a guy from a mutual friend. He seemed HVM, he had a good job, has a degree, good listener, and patient. Bonus points that he didn’t work in my field. He was tall, had these broad shoulders and chest that I like in a guy. He was a good dresser. He never wore any of that white t-shirt and sweatpants bs to see me. It was always a nice sweater or collared shirt with dress pants. Both of us were sending signals that we liked each other and we were MAD flirti…

Yes, but that was when the pandemic had just started. I got into mindfulness, and try to keep myself busy. Whether it is doing laundry or taking myself out for food and shopping, I always try to keep myself busy and happy. When I find myself restless or bored, I just take a nice warm bath.

Damn, so he literally did nothing. It’s like she was done waiting for him to show her that he loved her. This is just me and I am speculating, but I think she agreed to the prenup because she wanted to believe that he would eventually treat her well, see her as an equal, and prove to him that she wasn’t after his money. However, he took advantage of her kindness and took her for granted.

Hmm… alright case in point. He didn’t exactly do anything to shield her from his family’s abuse. He got what was coming for him.

If I remember correctly, it was his family that pushed for the prenup. She talks about how her father-in-law gave her the greatest gift of all… the gift of fear to push her to work harder. I truly think that they were in love at one point, but it was the prenup, money, and lack of effort that got in the way.

Me too, alimony is the worst. Up to my knowledge, I think it was Nick Lachey that got alimony from Jessica Simpson. She once made this comment about how nice it was that Nick is able to treat Vanessa to the finer things in life with her money. Also, I think Mariah Carey also has to pay for his expenses every time Nick comes to see his children. Damn… like he can’t pay for his own hotel room to see his kids? This makes me wonder if he wants to see his kids at all.

Her book made me laugh at times. It was so heartfelt because she was writing this with her daughters in mind. She talked about her family, his family, and her life as a struggling comedienne. She even talked about her life journey and past partners.

Literally all her Netflix specials and her memoir was like a giant foreshadow to their divorce. She was definitely naive and bought into societal constructs of how important it was for women to be married.

I hope so. I hope that when she signed the prenup, she had things set in place to protect her as well. She always said that no could have predicted the outcome that she was going to be the successful one. Everyone says that he also comes from money as well, but I wonder if he will ever inherit or even have access to his family’s fortune. My thinking is that if she signed a prenup stating that she won’t get financial help from him, then has to help him pay off his student loans, it makes me wonde…

Reliable, loyal, and empathetic. Mainly a do-er with no lip service. I prefer someone with a quiet lifestyle 🤐. No partying, drugs, and loud activities. Small group of friends preferred. Organized, thoughtful, and punctual. Having kids isn’t a priority.

Im curious what does remove all doors mean? Is this the literal sense… like you’re removing the doors to every room to have no sense of privacy, or are you just changing the locks? I’ve never heard of this technique before…

I had a similar story to this as well, but it worked out for the best. There was a co-worker that really liked my mutual friend. At this time, four people (me, the guy, the girl he liked, and another girl) knew what was going on. The other girl told suggested that we play matchmaker and put those two “lovebirds” together. Being deeply entrenched in FDS at the time, I politely declined. If he wanted to he would. For weeks on end he expressed how much he like her and wanted to date her towards us,…

I work in a daycare and I teach children to take responsibility and make them hold accountability for their actions. Whenever they apologize, it’s not just an “I’m sorry”. I make them apologize for what they did. For example “I’m sorry for pushing you into the mud”. Edit: I don’t extend my patience to men or grown ass adults just because I don’t feel like it is my responsibility or duty to teach them things they should have learnt long ago.

It’s making a lot more sense to me. A while back there was that reality tv show called f-boy island, and there was this giant billboard advertisement about that show in my downtown city. The show did terribly, but there was so much hype. However, No one talked about it after it ended. No one wanted a second season. As for the bachelor/bachelorette franchises, I don’t understand why there’s more than 10 seasons with different versions for each country. 😆

I’m sorry to have contributed to your depression it wasn’t my intention to make you feel this way. Personally, I wouldn’t read any graphic novels without strong female leads or FL in general. It just goes to show how bad at storytelling the authors are. A writer should be able to write and draw from different perspectives.

I want to be where you are once I’m done grad school. With my parents, they don’t want me to be lonely. They want me to be able to find someone who I can spend my life with when they leave this world. They want someone to look after me, but they’re just realizing that I am capable of looking after myself.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/04/22 02:24 AM

Yeah…for the most part I agree, but I also like watching Bollywood films, and korean dramas. Sadly, I just realized that some of the foreign dramas that I watch don’t have strong female characters, but of subservient women. With this particular K-drama that I watched, the female lead was a doctor but still a pushover when it came to her male colleagues who held the same position as her, and it got on my nerves a bit.

I liked Aparna as well. My mom no longer worried about my future regarding marriage. I’ve proven to her that I’m capable of taking care of myself by cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a steady job. She no longer worries about my lonely future.

Wait… so you’re telling me that in order to get a divorce one needs to held accountable in certain countries? This means that one cannot get a divorce unless there is someone to blame. Keeping this in mind the one at fault could forfeit /lose assets, and even custody of their children. 🤯 Taking this in mind, I’m gonna treat marriage more seriously and vet harder.

You’re insinuating that there’s something wrong with me, making me second guess myself. I don’t have autism just because I felt that he was treating the relationship as a checklist/chore to have sex with me. Teachers have been trying to pin this label on me since grade school, I got tested, and my results came back normal. It’s bringing back unwanted memories. This is what I’ve come to conclude as well. On my first day of work, I showed up in a blazer and a Michael Kors tote bag and I already got passive aggressive comments from my current colleague about how she used to dress like me but then realized that she was trying too hard. She also made this comment about how “kids these days are brandwashed and forcing their parents to buy them things they don’t need”. All I could do was just laugh.

Now that you mention it, I remembered this one incident about them trying to eat healthy. One of them pulled out a frozen microwave meal and said that it was supposed to healthy and under 500 calories. She also complained that there was only one piece of meat and she said, “what am I paying for? Vegetables?” It just struck me as odd, because that was the whole reason why her meal was healthy. Out of genuine curiosity how does obesity come into all of this? Is it because of the stress? The ladies…

Like you, I’ve come across older women that find it hard to take orders from me; someone who’s old enough to be their daughter/granddaughter. Reality is that even though they may have more experience than me, I still hold a higher position over them. This is why many of my colleagues have difficulty working with me. I do agree with everything you said. If it’s not that you talk less, they’ll hate you for other things. I think that they’re internally battling with themselves about whether or not …

Coach is awesome! Shopping and food is always the best way to go when you want to treat yourself. This year, I got myself a pair of baroque pearl earrings, and had dinner at this cute Italian restaurant. I’m definitely coming back and brining my friends in the summer for patio dining.

I volunteered at a daycare in a school during college. The daycare program ran during and after school hours. The conversations teachers have during their break will scar you. From what I remember, a lot of them were really catty and passive aggressive. You’re right, there was so much competition. It was like being in school all over again with their cliques.

Yes, congrats. This is what I love to hear! I get so excited hearing a Queen level up! I lost $400 on the deposit. If I went along with the wedding, I would have lost $100 for the entrance fee, $300 for the dress, and she was expecting a wedding gift as well so who knows how much that would have been…not planning to lose anymore money on her. I went through this during the pandemic with my very first guy. The relationship lasted for six months as well. He was playing mind games with me and made me feel bad about myself. I was in a similar situation like you. I always thought that I was never good enough for him. However, let me ask you this, is he good enough for you? If you’re feeling these feelings of anxiety and breaking down, do you think that he’s good enough for you? The breakup was nasty for him as he he said I wouldn’t be abl…

Here’s another tip. This girl should not be moving in with this guy all together. Personally, I would not move in with a guy without marrying with him first. Anything before that is basically I have my place and you have yours. Until there’s marriage which is a sign of commitment, then you can expect to be sleeping at your place. No sleepovers either. If you’re stranded and need a place to crash for the night, either sleep in your car or rent a motel. I for sure won’t be opening my doors to you …

I’m around her height and weight and I can tell you that almost all the guys I’ve met knew their boundaries with me. Yes, we have played fight and it never leads to them hurting me. When they want me to stop they usually just do nothing and tell me that they’re over it. Granted I had one situation where I was on a date with a man child and he yelled squirrel and punch me on the arm. Yo… first and last date with that guy.

As a girl, I was told that if a boy is mean to you it means that he likes you. That type of thinking needs to die. It’s not cute. It creates pickmes and lowers the bar for women because they’re being breadcrumbed. It conditions them to take whatever small amount of effort and affection that guy has to offer. If someone likes me, they better show me instead of doing these hurtful things. I’m a daycare worker and I refuse to let that kind of behaviour slide. Whenever, a little girl comes up to me …

That’s fair. For me, when I talk to someone, they have my attention and I have theirs. When, I need to pass time, I’ll probably let them know and they can decide whether or not they want to continue the conversation.

Yes, If he wants to chat he has to initiate first! That’s what I do when I date. I admit I’m clueless when it comes to men expressing interest in me, so it isn’t a loss for me if I never get their message. I will never be the person to chase after men!

I understand your situation better. It’s hard to plan ahead with children. They will always be your first priority and you will cancel everything just for them. I’m single with no kids in my mid 20’s. I think both our situations are drastically different. I don’t want to date single dads either lol as they’re looking for a mommy bangmaid to unload their kids onto. In addition, single dads my age are not that mature. That silence is crucial. My ex went silent whenever he didn’t get his way. He went silent whenever I wanted something serious and deflected my questions. My rule of thumb is that, if he goes silent for more than 5minutes while texting you (unexcused), block and delete. He’s either scheming or having second thoughts. Yeah, at this point… I would just end the relationship and finds someone who’s willing to marry me. I had this happen to me when I wanted something serious with my ex and he was like I love you but I need more time. At that point, it was just awkward since there was no movement in the relationship. It literally killed whatever feelings I had for him and I withdrew from him. She needs to leave him. The more time she spends with this guy will make it harder for her to leave him.

A bout a few months ago I posted about my friends wedding and how I was excited to be MOH. Yeah… uh… so it sucks. Her fiance isn’t helping out. All he wants to do is the cake testing. He doesn’t care about anything. We picked out the suit, invitations, and venue. When they took their wedding photos, all he did was show up in an outfit that she paid with her own money. This is my fear. This is why I have trust issues with men and will never have sleep overs with them. This man has issues which will likely progress and get worse. I imagine him raping and assaulting his partner in their sleep and pretending that it never happened. This is the type of man that is capable of taking advantage of you in your most vulnerable state such as sleep and use it against you as revenge porn. Avoid at all cost. He has no sympathy from me.

Self- esteem issues galore with these guys!!! My theory with these guys who are into roasting women is that if you dig just deep enough, you’ll find that they’re insecure or feel inferior to either themselves or other men. Reason why they don’t go after other men is because—like most commentators here have said that— they’re too afraid of getting beat up by men. So, an easier target would be women. Cookies, and chocolates are an impersonal gift that you give to people you don’t know very well. Also, there are so many other healthy variations besides cookies. He could have gotten you a fruit bouquet which is healthier, or just next the food idea all together and sent roses. Regardless, still a horrible gift. I’d even add that, within 30 seconds they’ll gage as to how much effort it will take for them to have sex with you. I like routine. When the pandemic hit and everyone was in lockdown, I was restless and fidgety. I had so much anxiety that I needed to maintain a routine just to get through the day. At the time, I left a shitty relationship, school was tough, financially unstable, and I had isolated myself from my friends and family from being in that relationship. I’m in my mid 20’s. Trust me, girls in their early 20’s don’t date guys in late 20-30’s. They won’t date younger or older, since they’re so picky at that age. Often they won’t date younger guys and men three years older than them. The idea/ trope that girls like to date older men (e.g high school girl dating a college student) is dying out. We’re the same size. I’m a size 6 at 5’1. I often buy my clothes from H&M, Gap, Old Navy, and Shein on a budget. For mid level purchases, I shop at Abercrombie & Fitch I know it’s marketed towards younger people, but they recently did a rebranding and now it’s more towards young working professionals. I also shop at Uniqlo as well. For higher end purchases, I shop from Aritzia from their Babaton, Wilfred, and Sunday Best line. I also shop from Club Monaco, Nordstrom, and Holt Renfrew when I want…

As a child, I was told that the female body is suppose to snap back right after child birth. The younger you are, the easier it will be snap back. Needless to say, as an older woman who is more educated, I understand that that’s some bullshit. It was just propaganda in my community to encourage us to have children faster and earlier lol What really opened my eyes was when I learned about postpartum depression. That’s totally fine! I don’t go home until 6pm most weekdays too. To me, staying out past 6pm is overkill. By the end of the day, I just want to take off my stockings, take a bubble bath, light some candles, and meditate in my pyjamas afterwards. If I were you, I’d take it a step further and only meet on weekend afternoons, so I can have more time to myself lol

I usually like to ask them to paint me a picture, like as a pretend date and see what they say. Most of the time it’s nothing good. Just a bunch of park and movie dates. Lol One of them wanted sex after four dates, which consisted of a movie date, walks in the park, and small dinners where we split 50/50. Another guy wanted to take me on a hike in a forest with McDonald’s. Lol They were obviously unmatched pretty quickly.

Ask them, “How so? What makes me so different?” I think this person is trying to pull the “you’re not like other girls” bs on you. I guarantee you they’re either going to take a moment to think about it or say something along the lines of “I don’t know, I just feel like you are.” The slight pause in their answer is so crucial because it tells you that they don’t really mean what they’ve said.

It’s like we’re dating the same person 😂 hahaha!! (God, I hope not😬😵‍💫). I had an ex say really mean things and later on tell me that he was joking when I got mad. I’m not surprised that a lot of men do this. When are they going to learn that it won’t work? 😤

It’s okay to be different. Everyone comes from different walks of life. To me, the terms, “quirky”, “weird”, and “eccentric” are negative connotations. People have often said that I remind them of Jessica Day from “New Girl” and they’ve used these words to compare me to her, and it’s annoying because we’re two different people. People expected me to act like her, dress like her, and they just assumed things about me, because I was “exactly like her”. Curiosity and desiring to learn about a perso…

I’m very close to my mother as well. I’m not surprised that an LVM called you weird for being close to your mom as I have had that happen to me as well. In my opinion, it’s a tactic that men do to get you away from your support groups so that you become dependent on them. It makes you an easier target and more vulnerable to them. I’m glad you left your ex since he couldn’t truly appreciate you.

You don’t have to reply back. Just nod smile and leave. It’s the best thing there is. I’ve learnt that there’s a difference between listening to people and agreeing with them. Often times, I ask for clarification as a polite attempt in front of others and to let them embarrass themselves in front of others. For example: Male co-worker: you’re so weird sometimes!!🙃 Me: what do you mean I’m weird? 😂🥴🧐 Male co-worker: [awkward silence]… well it’s just how you behave and talk…😅 Me: Really? How so? I…

Yes of course it could be applied to anyone! People who say this are not your actual friend. They say this because it’s unexpected to them, and they’re not benefiting from it. You could even take it a step further and ask them to clarify why they think you’re weird. They will be taken back and most of the time it will take them a moment to think about it and give you an answer. To me, it signifies that them calling you weird wasn’t thought out properly and was something done out of impulsiveness…

I want to get married and be with someone I love. I don’t want children, because I think it’s not conducive to my lifestyle. It is the only reason that I date. I think wanting marriage is dependent on your age, where you’re at in life, and why you date. I have my own prerequisites as well. I will never be with a man for more than 3-5 years if he hasn’t expressed any interest in marriage. He has to propose with a ring, and we have to get married in a certain time frame (2 years). My thoughts exactly! But then Big had to go to Paris and get her back. 🙄 This never happens in real life. Ofc SATC writers had to give Big a grandiose entry where he saved her from her abusive boyfriend. This guy emotionally abused Carrie for years and writers are thinking that the audience will forget after he did the right thing for once in the series. 😩 Honestly, Carrie could have dumped her European bf, and had an “Eat, Pray, Love” journey on her own. You’re right, it’s not Miranda’s job to care for Stevie’s mother. If memory serves, Stevie was held up with work at the bar. The distance between their Brooklyn house and Manhattan was really far. I think he did come home in the end and was notified of the situation. Miranda bathed her mother-in-law, because she didn’t want Stevie to see how badly his mother’s condition deteriorated. As soon as I saw Bobby Lee in this movie, I immediately knew it was going to be horrible. Carrie needs to leave the podcast. This is not the right fit for her. I love Magda!!! She was a good person. There was this episode where she hid Miranda’s vibrator and another where she “accidentally” erased all of her TiVo shows as an attempt to get her to go outside. I do agree that Miranda and Steve need to be better parents. In my personal opinion, being the “cool parent” by letting your children have sex in your own house in the next room is not okay. I think that they’re migrating to the new “it” place. In the early days of OLD, Tinder was considered to be the number one dating app. By 2015-2018 Bumble was popping off. Around 2019, Hinge was taking off. I don’t know if there’s another new popular app since I left OLD in August. Men are vindictive even when they’re at fault. I saw a comment about having separate money. They key to this is to not let him know that you have your stash otherwise he’s going to drain it as well. In fact, don’t let him know you have money. Let everyone believe you’re poor. I know several women who have exit plans. One of them told me that out of blue one night, her mom told her and siblings to each grab a laundry basket and fill up all of their personal belongings and get in the car. Apparent…

When my mom lost her father, my dad was there to uphold the home. For the whole year, he had to take on tasks that he’d never done before like comb my hair, pick out my clothes, and cleaning the house. He had to pick up the slack for things that she wasn’t able to do just yet. We ended up moving in with family, because my grandpa died in our house and my mother could not bare the sight of our house, because my grandpa did a lot for the house. The main point was that when we moved, my dad did not…

That sounds like a shit idea. My interpretation of what she’s saying is that her parents are willing haggle with her on pricing. It sounds like they want her to take it off their hands. If I were her, I’d go to her parents and tell them that her bf should have no part in this and that she alone is going to be the sole owner of the house and not not expect anything from him.

Oh no. She should just bite the bullet and move back with her mom. I know that her children are happy and have made friends, but they’ll be able to make more friends in their new school. Either that or she just sucks it up and drives 1.5 hours a day for her kids. I’m pretty sure this guy is sick of her and found a better offer, which is why he wants her out really fast. You’re not selfish if you don’t want to care for another person’s kid. This is a big factor for me when it comes to dating. I’m nearing that age when men have toddlers, and they look for women with the whole package to swoop in and do everything. Due to my profession where I work with young children, a lot of men expect me to rear their children as well since “it’s what I do best”. Upon meeting this guy’s daughter for the first time he had the audacity to ask if I could change his daughter’s dia…

That’s right! Males can be asymptotic carriers of STDs and STIs. One example is bacterial vaginosis (BV). With Charlie Sheen, HIV is one of the incurable STDs. In addition, the singer, Usher also has herpes and there’s a lawsuit against the people he slept with. At one point he tried to pay people off, but he just could not anymore, so that’s where the whole lawsuit began. Don’t come to him, he’ll come to you. Most of the time, they want to smash (yes even at this age). Ask them why they want to date you, or try to figure out why. I’m only saying this because I was fat, and people thought I was easy. Guys thought they were doing me a favour by giving me scraps of their affection. 🥴 (Jokes on them, I look better, and I’m smarter than them now). Bring him to your parents if you think it’s serious. It is important for men to know how to cook. My father has been packing my mother’s lunch since they were married. In addition, he cooks for her extended family whenever they visit. My father loves trying out new recipes and would often accept constructive criticism. It’s not that my mom doesn’t cook. She can cook too, but he just loves it so much that it’s his “thing”. Gavin De Becker talks about this in, “Why Does he do That”. These erratic lapses are intentional. He knows what he’s doing and his moves are all calculated so that you’re tied to him. She’s been with this guy for a long time. Once, she told me that she’s at a “dead end”. She has no post-secondary education, or career. She thinks that if she gets married, she’ll have accomplished something. She doesn’t want to leave him, otherwise she’s going to fail at everything. That’s why she’s trying to work things out with him. I don’t think she’ll fail. In fact, she’s smarter than me and I’m starting to see this side of him that I don’t like.

None of these men are worth your time. Don’t worry, I feel the same way. It’s likely that you subconsciously found something you didn’t like with them, and you no longer find them desirable, so you don’t want to spend time with them. I find it perfectly normal if you don’t want to spend time with them anymore; you don’t owe them anything. Right now, you’re unconsciously filtering men who aren’t worthy of you, which is awesome! All you have to do is to just keep meeting new people, and don’t re-v…

Before reading this article, I knew that there was more to story as to why she felt the need to divorce him. It’s not just leaving glasses by the sink. It’s how he treats her and how he behaves. She probably addressed him about this problem many times, and he brushed it off or just acted like a child and she just got tired of picking up after him one day, so she left.

Check for mutual friends in his list. It was how I found out that a potential was an abuser and currently in a relationship. He got so frantic when I found that I go WAAAAY back with one of his friends, and that he had a social media account. Have you reversed engineered any of his pics? The most that happens is that we stop dating men. We don’t go on killing sprees when we don’t get laid. Instead, we start planning our future without the need for men. Have you heard of women going on killing sprees lately for misandrist intent? What about men for their misogyny? I can name three at the top of my head.

I blame OLD for normalizing dating multiple dating. I think that it’s really important to screen men that date you. Find out if they have an active account. If they do, chances are they have matches and it’s probably best for you to stop seeing them. Trust me, I learnt that the hard way. Men who date multiple women will never change. Are these guys thinking that this is a temporary situation? Girls who see this video, are not going to be impressed that this is what their place looks like 😝

I once went on a date with a LVM, and there was this toddler trying to get our attention and I turned around to play with her. Before, the dude just kept ignoring the kid until I noticed and started interacting with the kid. He tried interacting with the child, but he sucked! His motions were so bad and unnatural. The toddler was weirded out and went back to her meal. That’s a bad sign lol

These types of guys are what you’d find on OLD. I used to put them on a rotation and eventually delete their info the minute the text “how r u?” Or “wyd” on a random Wednesday lol. These guys are not LTR material.

Naw dude, I’ve had guys come to me for dates. After the online screening, they always come to me. Oh yeah, I always do an online screening to make sure they’re worth my time getting ready to leave. Here’s the thing, they always come get me for dates. I don’t go up them. Anything less is just stupid for me.

Yikes, I was almost put into this trap. A guy I was seeing to figure out if he was worth being my bf, made 70k a year. He just bought his own place two bedrooms and bathroom. At the time I was still a student barely breaking 20k. He wanted to go 50/50 on our future dates after 6 months. When I said no he went ballistic! Called me a gold digger. Said that I’m taking advantage of him because he makes more than me. Broke up with me on the spot. Called me back a few hours later to apologize and star…

It’s because they’ve never been taken advantage of. They’ve never experienced being groped, women never coerced them into sex or performing sexual acts, and they’ve never had the fear of being raped hanging over their heads. Also, men who are unemployed are usually the ones looking for women to mooch off of. They’re more likely to be abusers. I always run when I come across these types of people.

The best way to weed the low effort men on OLD is to not like any photos and wait for them to make the first move. Lol most men who have the “just ask me” line in their bio almost never initiate and wait for women to come to them. All I can say about men with that kind of mentality is that they’re going to be waiting for a LONG time. 😂

OnlyFans will ruin your life. It requires you to post your tax forms, and ID to confirm your identity. Your future employers will see this. True. I don’t play by any dating rules. The three month rule and the third date rule could die in a hole for all I care. Yes! Always be ready to pick yourself, dust your shoulders and leave. I’ve left a relationship when I wasn’t happy, the moment I felt the slightest disrespect, and when the conversation turned sour. Women should not take shit from anybody. Stop thinking that they will get better. It’s only going to be worse as time progresses. The time and effort one invests in that relationship (even if you stopped having feelings for them) only makes it harder to leave.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/08/21 10:39 AM

That’s flawed rhetoric. One holds high standards for themselves because they love themselves and they regard themselves in that light. If one were to lower their standards it means that they don’t see themselves as worthy and deserving of their own desires. All of your colleagues want to lower your standards. Keep doing you and don’t let their words cloud your judgment and perception of yourself. If this wasn’t a work thing, you’d never have to see them again.

I get this a lot. Men don’t even read your profile. It’s so annoying. Even if I put down my ethnicity, they don’t read it. It’s also the first question they ask too! To add, female infanticide is prevalent in countries that prefer girls over boys. 1.05:1.00 (boys to girls) is a world average. It’s even worse in countries that prefer male babies over female babies, because the ratios are more disproportionate where men outnumber women. Knowing this, it’s why I don’t settle for bare minimum.

Here’s what my sister taught me before going on my first date, if you don’t know the guy, always go on public dates with lots of people around. Be sure to not leave food unattended and if you do, don’t eat it after you have returned. If a guy ever asks you to come to his house, go on anything that involves the wilderness, and wants you to come to him, run! The first date should always be on your terms. He could suggest ideas, but it’s you who has final say in the activity.

It was 3-4 months after the relationship had taken its course. I wrote in my journal with the “Dear ____” and at first I wrote about things that bothered me, and “asked him” for comfort and advice since I used to seek out his advice during my pick-me days. Sometimes I’d write to him expressing my happiness and anger since I was attached to him and we’d tell each other about our day. It got to the point where I was worried, because I was using this as a crutch since he had moved on, didn’t care a…

I understand. It just takes a little bit of time for you to heal. I have no doubt that you will get there. Take all the time you need. I understand that it’s hard to escape the clutches of social media, but if you have to block all the social media websites, you should do it. I think you should do whatever it takes to heal and move on. De-activate your account and leave for a few months. I’m pretty sure you can’t see anything on Instagram without being logged in to an account.

I’m going through a similar situation like this as well. Blocking him and making sure he’s out of your life is a good option. Right now, you’re projecting by still imagining a life with him. Some time away from the thought of him will work best. I’d also take some time to be by yourself, listen to your inner needs/thoughts, and treat yourself to whatever it is You want right now.

It’s the usually women that set the boundary when it comes to having male friends. Once men realize that they’ll get nothing from you, that’s when they really assess your actual worth in their life. Most will stop talking to you or keep you at arms length to see if anything changes. I’ve had close male friends only to find out they were romantically interested in me and our friendship was never the same again.

Never give a guy your time if he ain’t attractive to you. My parents tried to set me up with a family friend and I was repulsed by the guy. They told me to “give him a chance”. I did and what did that get me ? I got taken advantage of and groped for a month. I still remember it until this day. I was only 21 and he was 26! I had a life ahead of me and my parents wanted me to get married. He had no aspirations or the desire to be better. He graduated from a trades school working in a field nowhere…

Here’s the thing, most guys know about the 3-4 month rule and some are patient enough to wait longer. I saw my LV Ex’s friend did that to this girl. He wined and dined her for 4 months. For those four months he was the perfect bf. Always driving up 2.5 hours to see her, picking up the bill, and when they slept together, it was over within the week. The girl was serious, but he said they were just casual wtf. He slept with three other women in the month.

The thought of violent sex just hurts my stomach. Men should not hurt their partners during sex or in the relationship. I’ve had relationships where we were rough-housing and it’s usually the guy who knows when he needs to stop because I’ll end up in bruises if he continues. In addition, I’ve had to end relationships because a few guys were unintentionally rough with me. It’s a sign that he can do worse.

There’s nothing wrong with looking expensive! My ex used to do same thing and I fell for it. The next time I’m meeting the parents, I’m showing up in a feather boa, so even if we break up, They’ll always remember my glamorous self. 🤣 In the past, I’ve had guys spend a shit ton of money on clothes for themselves because they didn’t measure, and that’s how it should be. Either you get on my level or I get someone new.

So I wasn’t the only one thinking about this the other day. Before moving into said city, remember to set your location setting with whatever OLD dating app you’re using to get a “feel” of the guys there before making the big move. Some guys can be jerks and that may be the culture of the city.

This is too much work. I feel sad for this girl. She’s putting out too much of herself and not creating a sense of mystery. The massive texts are enough to scare away the guy. Sending the picture through sms when you don’t even know if this is his number is just a big no on my end. Never send nudes, if you want to send a picture, show what you’re doing sometimes. If he wants your face in it, ask for him for a picture of him as well in real time.

The part where you start questioning your identity is what I’ve been dealing with and people thought it was weird that I didn’t want to have sex. The truth was that the men I was seeing weren’t attractive to me. I was talking to porn addicted weirdos, Otakus, and gamers. Never give them the satisfaction by answering their calls or messages. They want to see you struggling. They want to know that you still think about them. It’s okay that you do at certain times, your healing, but never let them know this. These types of people feed off of your misery and knowing that your life isn’t as good as theirs. Block them on everything so they can’t keep tabs on you. Indifference is the best form of punishment for these narcissistic assholes.

Oh Ma Gawd!!! This is what I practice and I get called out by my friends for my “cruel” behaviour. I’m so glad FDS and I are on the same page. If it’s been 2 days I just unmatch with him and call it a lost cause. No need for closure 🤡 or an explanation. I have guys lined up at my beck and call 😂 don’t play games with me. Never text a guy during work, always do it after work. You’re losing money over him! Also, if he calls you and you’re in bed for sure it’s a booty call. Don’t be his toy. A guy …

We need more videos like this on TikTok! I’m tired of seeing videos of pick-me’s flying out, and spending their own money to go see their tinder matches in Vegas. 🤡

Sis, next he’s gonna say food is a waste of money and have you consume air. Thank God you left that POS boyfriend. I was always taught in my family that frugality is a good trait in men but this is just insane. To me, not caring about your appearance, cleaning your house, and seeing the doctor is just insane. This is no longer frugality; it’s just lazy. Thank you for opening my eyes to this and putting this into words. A lot of men in my family are cheap and it’s viewed as being frugal, which is…

Yes. If I remember it clearly, he wrote it on a notepad, and within the first 5-10 minutes of us talking, he took out his pen and popped it open and started writing away. 🤪

Thank you. The pieces are connecting. For the past few months I was so confused as to why he would write notes about me, and like FDS has explained it clearly.

It didn’t work out. Lasted for three days, because he didn’t like that I had a hereditary medical condition, which was also a question he had asked me lol He’s deleted and blocked.

Straight up he told me he was a family man and looking to get married. He even asked me how many kids I wanted. He even asked if I was willing to move in with him since he has a place downtown. This guy is skeevy lol

Yes! I did meet him using OLD! Omg this makes so much sense now! I had suspicions that he was seeing other women since it is online dating. He said he that his grad school was really competitive and that he sometimes forgets things. But somehow he still has time to date lol 😝 This is a scrote for sure and here I was giving him the benefit of the doubt. Eeeewww 🤮

One with a lie detector 😂 lol But jokes aside, We need like a button that says I dated this guy before, so we can avoid PTSD.

With OLD, there are unspoken rules that I feel like everyone should follow even during COVID times. Here they are: Under any circumstances NEVER ever EVER go to their house. You don’t know them that well. Especially during the lockdown, I know that it might be easier, and your practicing those rules but when you go their place, it’s a disadvantage towards you. Also, it’s also LV. Hiking, walking dates, and park dates are not good either. You need to be in a public place where people can see you.…

I’m exploring the field by seeing what’s out there. I’m looking for something serious, but vetting like crazy. I know what my boundaries are and will not let men take advantage of my kindness and body. I no longer feel the need to be upset or lower my standards whenever things don’t work out. I just dust my shoulders, pick myself up, and move along to the next guy.

My LV ex mind fucked me so badly. He admitted to still talking to his ex right. He texted her that he was having dinner but left me out of it. He said that it was up to me if I should stop talking to her and showed me their whole chatting history. He put the whole responsibility on me. How was I supposed to respond at the time? If I said no I was jealous and I didn’t want to say yes (ended up doing it anyways because I didn’t want to come off as jealous). 🤡 I should have broken up with him soone…

I was with him for 6 months and I was a broke student that had delved into my savings. I had to spend 4 months to put back the amount I had saved up for my new car. I spent a little over 3K. I had student tuition to pay off and bills to cover. I thought he was “the one” and a little bit of suffering would not be a big deal. He was complaining about how he didn’t want to pay for meals or things we’d do on date night. Of course me being the “cool girlfriend” offered to take turns paying for his sh…

Good for moving on Queen! Pretty soon, you’ll mentally barf at the sight of him on anything. In addition, you’ll feel the urge to block him and friends on social media as well. Just focus on yourself for now and don’t even look at his profile. Better yet, block his profile. The best form of punishment is indifference and not giving a shit about him.

My LV ex used to send YouTube video of KPop girl groups and ask me why I never dress like that public. I looked at the photo and it was a bunch of girls in school girl uniforms and miniskirts. Can you imagine a grown women in her mid 20’s wearing this shit? The biggest disrespect was when he sent me a video of a dance rehearsal where the girls were just twerking for 8 minutes and told me that he enjoyed their songs. I’m like sure buddy. 😏

Speaking of the devil, my LV ex scrote deleted his account and his new account appeared on my profile last night. He’s still obsessed and talking shit about his mama though…nothing new. I met him in school and I didn’t know about his Oedipus complex. Every time he deletes his account, I chuckle because I know he struck out and his match probably saw him for who he really was LOL 😝

Same could be applied to his profession. If he’s bragging about how he’s doctor or lawyer chances are he’s probably using that to sleep with you.

This made me realize what I went through in my last first relationship as well. I’m still recovering from it. I didn’t realize that this is abuse. Thank you for teaching me. I got lucky and didn’t get intimate with him. Stayed with him for half a year. He wanted me to wear more revealing clothes and wear my makeup differently. I always felt like I wasn’t good enough for him. He said that I was fine the way I was, but then “offered” to buy me clothes and new makeup. He sent me a YouTube video so …

The last sentence made me laugh because it’s true! I’ve been on there for about two years now and I think the app has give up on me due to my high standards. Due to my own health reasons I can’t be around people who smoke, do drugs, and smoke weed since it worsens my condition, so it’s an automatic no for me. I don’t mind if they drink in front of me, but I’ve noticed that it’s hard for them and it could ruin the mood since my medication can’t be taken with alcohol. Just that alone eliminates at…
