I just re-watched “The Princess Diaries Two” and I love how it ended. Mia didn’t have to marry a man in thirty days and still became Queen after passing along a decree that a female can rule without a husband. It’s such a great message.

I was young when I first saw this film, so I didn’t understand how she got to be queen, but now, I appreciate the final message.

I just wonder if the film passes the Bechdel Test, because she does spend quite a bit of time talking about the men that she must marry despite being surrounded by girls.
