As you can tell from my at risk flair, I am not one familiar with the so called HVM.

I have been chatting with a man who has respected me very well. I recently moved, and in general was having a difficult time adjusting.

I woke up rn to a text from him. He bought me a housewarming plant, and said I was welcomed to get anything else I might need for my move . He sent a link with the plant and a prepaid gift card.

Is this ok? Or is he trying to buy me? Bonus points for explaining why I have mistrust for men who do nice things for me.
