People keep talking about body odour here, and I just remembered my first boyfriend. When things were going well, I didn't notice his body odour, but as soon as I realized it wasn't going anywhere, I didn't like how he smelled anymore.
If you think he stinks, just go find someone who smells better. No matter how much he bathes, he still might stink for you because you just don't like him. Body odour is a whole lot of things, not just stale sweat. I'd be surprised it it didn't include markers of personality.
