Porn has become so socially acceptable because men have controlled the entire narrative. It's crazy. I have ventured out of this sub for a brief period of time and read so many posts of women trying to rationalize their boyfriend/husband's porn addictions or OF accounts. I couldn't believe how much emotional work women were putting into it (betrayal trauma, comMuniCating, monitoring, self-esteem issues, grief, etc.) and it was so heartbreaking to read.

For my own mental health I decided I'm finished with mainstream Reddit. I check the subs I subscribe to, but I don't go to the popular posts anymore. It feels like the majority of Reddit is either incels or porn-addicted abusive men, and it's exhausting to take verbal abuse for daring to have an opinion that your own wellbeing should take precedence over their wants. All the major subs are just echo chambers for the same old chant: porn good, women bad, not all men, sex work is work, shame on women for daring to have an opinion or wanting to feel valued. It's exhausting. I'm done.
