Would we call ourselves traditional feminists, or what? I am unsure what to label us as. I can tell you I am 100% for resolving womens issues and I used to be anti feminist to please men. Ive come a long way lol.

I agree! What they advocate for only ever benefit men. I like fake feminist, but in my opinion liberal feminist says it all already.

I’m a radfem but I’m not here to war with other feminists or women. I don’t like how this post is framed, I can see your point but I’m not in this sub to fight other feminists.

This is literally what people who hate radfems say. They say we shouldn’t get to be called feminist.

I think ideologies are nuanced and it’s perfectly acceptable to say “these two ideologies have overlap, even if some of the differences are huge”.

It’s not that hard to get libfems to radical feminism. I think all of us in FDS who are rad fems used to be libfems.

It’s a good tool for young women to go “oh I’m a feminist, what’s this radical feminism all about?”

Intersectional feminists are the most radical and the most knowledgeable. Liberal feminism is white feminism. Bigoted feminism is also white feminism because there is a lack of nuance.

Women of colour have histories of being warriors and who knew how to put men in their place. For example, Ching Shih was a pirate who was also a sex worker who warned her fleet of men that if they dared rape any of the women, that rapists were going to be put to death. Harriet Tubman ultimately told a man to shut the fuck up as she was trying to help him and many other Black folks to escape. She threatened to shoot him if he didn’t shut up. It’s under colonialism where women are forced to do men’s bidding and to find themselves victims to men’s violence.
