The best dating is to be found within your social sphere (including acquaintances) since there is at least some vouching for. A guy has a harder time acting like a psychopath if he has to answer to people he knows for it. This also selects for guys who have friends and understands how to maintain good standing in a mix-gendered social network. This alone weeds out a lot cavemen.

People with a core of even 3-5 good friends have a huge social sphere of acquaintances they don’t even know about. Your friend’s boyfriend’s roommate, your other friend’s book club, your friend’s game night, etc (pre-COVID anyway).
