What do you put on your OLD profile?

I think I probably had a very boring OLD bio in the eyes of most guys.

My bio signaled that I wasn't up for FWB without directly saying it (for example not very sexy interests: museums, art galleries, reading, spending time with family and friends. Love dogs, but unfortunately not an owner yet). Also very happy and pretty pictures but nothing sexy.

Edit: it attracted HVM and LVM alike. But all of them had successful careers and nice and tidy houses and took me on a real dinner date that they paid for. Showing that you don't care about being boring or high maintenance is a true NVM repellant. The NVM I dated were guys I met in real life.

I have tinder and hinge. I find most men stop reading after 2-3 sentences, if they even bother to read (most don’t).

I like to keep it short and sweet. My tinder bio: Looking for someone who makes me laugh, enjoys a good cocktail, and eats the olives on my charcuteries. Thats also an answer to one of the prompts on hinge. The others are 1) Ideal First Date: You, me, and a nice bottle of red. 2) Give me travel tips for: Côte d'Azur.

I think you should tailor your bio to what you’re like and what you’re looking for. For me, my biggest hobby is socializing and drinking (but I try to tone that down on apps). I also like to travel a lot, especially luxury destinations. My ideal partner would be someone who likes nice vacations and wine (especially cabs lol).

Also, use pictures to your advantage because that’s the best way to give off a “vibe”. I fill all 6 slots: there’s one of me in Napa Valley, another standing behind a large charcuterie platter and bottles of Moët from my birthday, one in front of sailboats in Boston Harbor, one in Time Square, one on the beach, and one with girlfriends holding champagne glasses.

I match with HVM and LVM but I generally reply to responses regarding what I put in my bio or questions about my pictures. I’ll respond to compliments if it’s like “You have a great smile” or something that’s not creepy. I’ve had LVM say “I can tell you’re high maintenance”.....like sweetie that’s the fucking point. I am not a girl you can take to a dive bar on the first date and that’s on purpose. So do not be afraid to come off as high maintenance, it weeds em out.

I only use Hinge. I am all about showing rather than telling and I like to use prompts that say a little something about myself while inviting the other person to share info about themselves (not that men ever take the bait lol). So for example if you like cooking, you could invite people to share a recipe with you. Or podcast recommendations. Both show that those are your interests, but they also open up the conversation and don't make it all "me me me."

I also have a stupid joke in there to show my sense of humor - that gets the most responses.

Honestly, just write whatever makes you happy. Project and ask for the good things. I realized most dudes don’t even bother to read it unless you really strike their fancy or hurt their ego.

I have critical thinking as a requirement in my bio and I still had a scrote tell me I was asking for too much (but still made the effort to read my bio and message me first). 🙄
