Exactly! It was his parents job to raise him and he should raise himself as an adult, why do ya'll pickmeishas wanna raise a 26 year old man? Get yourself a cat instead.

You’re supposed to let the failures fail. They won’t learn otherwise.

I recently saw a post in askwomenover30 about dating some drug dealer that has “potential” and can she change him? Lol no

So assuming this is a legitimate question, the answer is I want him to be the best father possible for the child we already have. I have no delusions that he will somehow become an ideal mate or that I can fix the emotional problems he obviously has from childhood but if I can help him be even a little more emotional intelligent in a way that will benefit his relationships with our child I am going to try. Yes I am aware that means making him a better person for the rando he will ultimately end up with, if it means she ends up being a better stepmom to my kid than what he would have bagged otherwise than it's still a plus.

You'll drain yourself dry trying to do that.
