I was having a discussion with an acquaintance about a politician whom we both know to have acted in ways that don't align with her own conduct as regards sexual harassment, assault, e.t.c.

The acquaintance had said she'd watched a political ad where the politician boasted about her record of holding sexual predators accountable and the only thing the acquaintance could think was "Lady, who the fuck are you to talk?"

I suggested to the acquaintance that this was precisely my own reaction upon hearing that Asia Argento had been accused by Jimmy Bennett of statutory rape, though I hadn't been surprised by Bennett's claims at all.

I was in high school during the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings where Anita Hill accused him of sexual misconduct, and I recall some large percentage of the males in the classroom mentioning that women act in ways that would readily be seen as "sexual harassment" if gender roles were reversed quite regularly.

So my question to you is this... how surprised were you to find out about Jimmy Bennett's claims about Asia Argento? Or the later claims that Katie Hill had been in "inappropriate" relations with staffers?
