I am sure most of you know about the fragile “state” of Rojava , the only democracy in the middle east ( in the world maybe?).

Seems that a big part of their model is based on what they call feminism and undoing patriarchy, but I am not clear if it is actually misandrist and short sighted or not.

From the little I have seen it looks like empowering women - a good thing obviously. I do not know much about gender in Kurdish society but they are majority muslim FWIW.

Any thoughts or analyses from people who know more?
