Feminism Is In Trouble - Commentary

This story essentially says: feminism has become(?) a rather silly and irrational movement. 'In trouble' is either a non sequitur or just wishful thinking. So many movements and ideologies are silly and irrational without being in trouble because of that, and feminism is no exception.

Feminism is in moral trouble. Like the men's rights movement it has become completely corrupted by gender jingoism ("my gender uber alles, be they right or wrong!"). The only thing that's saving feminism now is Trump and MAGA. Even Harvey Weinstein wouldn't have saved them because MeToo was so astoundingly successful (had Weinstein & co. walked away unscathed then it would have been a totally different story).

Other than this feminism is only in trouble when it comes to survival because it is like the War on Terror - it's a war without end. To perpetuate its relevance it makes up new crises like stare rape, manspreading and the sexism of air conditioning.
