What are the lies and misconceptions associated with the father's rights movement?

I can briefly mention some issues I have faced as a father.

In Canada, where I live, families can get a payment from the government for each child they have, to help with the cost of raising the child. As a stay-at-home father, the primary parent, I cannot receive that. The money goes to the mother alone. My wife would need to write a letter to the government, giving them permission to send the money to me. She has opted not to do that.

When my child was born, my father gave me a couple thousand dollars to put towards the child's educational savings account. This is an account set up at the bank, where the government will add funds as well to help people save for a child's future educational costs. I had the money. I went to the bank to set up the account for my child. I was told, by the woman bank manager, that I was unable to set up that account. I needed my wife to do it.

After I found out that my wife had been cheating, it raised questions about whether my children are even mine. I asked to have a blood test done, to determine if these kids are mine or not. I was refused by our doctor, a woman. I was told it is not legal to do so.

None of these problems I have faced are because of misogyny or "The Patriarchy". This is feminism at a government level. If we truly lived in a misogynistic "Patriarchy", then none of these problems I have experienced would exist.

A: They accept there is an issue of father's rights, sometimes tagging the cause due to misogyny.

I'd like to see how this logic works. Usually they blame existing laws on the patriarchy. Ignoring that they were written by feminists and continue to be defended by feminists.

Tearing down the patriarchy, in this context, implies being in opposition to feminism. It also implies that we need to fix these laws, since they're patriarchal and everything lol.

B: They deny there is one, stating that they are abusers lying to get custody, as well as using women's abuse and "token" (don't like the word) fathers to deride them and their arguments.

This is the propaganda that NOW spreads to oppose default equal custody laws.

The fact is, these laws have clauses in them to prevent abusive parents from receiving custody. Like that's not an issue at all and is never the purpose of those bills.

The implication that feminists like to make is that fathers who don't get custody in the current system are just bad or abusive parents.

It's of course not true.

And to top it off, mothers are more likely to abuse their children than fathers.

Children are actually safest with their biological father. Followed by their biological mother. And then with boyfriends / step dads.

The last point is important because the abuse committed by boyfriends / step dads happens in the context of the mother receiving custody. In many cases the mother even encourages or is complicit in the abuse.

This rarely happens when they're under the father's care though. Making children significantly safer with the father. Not just because fathers are statistically less abusive than mothers, but because this proxy abuse that happens through boyfriends / girlfriends is less likely to occur when they're with the father than with the mother.

I won't argue that custody should default to the father. But that argument is very easy to make. And it runs completely counter to this idea that equal custody laws will somehow make children less safe than they are today. If anything we should expect to see a decrease in child abuse, not an increase.

Well I was lied on which got the police involved at the end. My son was also involved. This changed my trust towards woman the way this woman did to me...I would like to tell ny story if yall will let me
