At one point this will be true. Right now though we are cruising upwards on every index and entering new all time highs. There is no VIX divergence. There is no structure suggesting an imminent crash. We will for sure see a pullback sometime before the end of next week, but a crash? Not yet. Furthermore, dollar weakness means stock market strength.

Yes, expect significant downward correction without Trump, because democrats bad for income growth of the American middle class.

But, wait, Biden will simply print another $2 trillion dollars. He is even planning for a $7 trillion. That is going to end up in inflation. Stock market will skyrocket to correct the inflation.

But, for an average joe, what I said above is simple speculation. Now, look at the technical analysis. Dollar is loosing against Bitcoin. Rural property prices are skyrocketing. That means rich people has already made their bets against the dollar. Why are you waiting.

Now, combine the above two and you know what is coming.

I think it is going to be a bumpy ride.

meh, I have like two years of food. It's just rice and beans so I can set it and forget it. It sits in my basement in vacuum sealed bags with oxygen absorber packets inside.

Fun fact: you can feed a grown man for a year on $500 of bulk rice and beans. The "food bank", hunger in America, hunger charities, are all fucking bullshit. Food is dirt cheap.

Regardless, a crash is a Black Swan event. Can't be predicted. But like floods, hurricanes, and fires, you can get homeowners insurance.

The market trends upward when printing money, due to inflation. It’s unsustainable, but if you don’t climb the wall of fear with everyone else, your capital is constantly depreciating. They key is to enter capital preservation mode before the crash...and I don’t think we’re there yet.

He's right. It may not happen this month or the next but a stock market correction is coming, a crash in worst case. I just liquidated most of my holdings and put it into some real estate. Keeping some around to try and ride this wave. Probably going to miss out on some gains but its fine I guess. Every single indicator shows the market is extremely overvalued, I was convinced when I saw freaking Berkshire Hathaway holding a record 139B in cash and most people know that Buffett frees up cash when he thinks the market is gonna take a downturn. This recovery was entirely due to the Fed printing money out like nothing and dropping interest rates to the floor. Was not a natural comeback at all

Sounds a little extreme but I do agree the economy and dollar are in for a rough time. The fact Biden is slashing jobs with executive orders in his first days with rejoining the Paris climate accord and pipeline cancellation will likely add fuel to the fire.

So far I have seen two different scenarios:

1- the market will enter a trading range perhaps for a few years before going down, maybe in 8 or 10 years. Trading range means up and down, not just down

2- the market will have a massive meltdown

I think it will be the first one. Despite everyone's view on how we are in a big bubble and it's about the blow any moment, I think it's too early for that right now

By the way, you can make money whether the market is going up or down
