I can't help wondering if "S" was perfectly happy with her and was willing to spend his life with her, however:

I suspect he made it very clear he was NOT going TO MARRY HER because marriage is just a plain bad move legally, which she took as, "he doesn't love me enough."

With RARE exception, IMO, women will throw down the "marry me or Ill leave you gauntlet" no matter who they're with, no matter how great things are going. It's hard wired in.

Hense, they throw away good men who are too smart to throw themselves under the bus legally, because she can't stand the fact that when you're living together the ONLY things holding the relationship together are COMMITMENT AND LOVE, which women will try to spin as only attainable/displayed through the yoke of marriage, which we all know, is complete bullshit.

It doesn't matter if you show them irrefutable statistics/studies that clearly show couples that live together (as opposed to marriage) are happier, have more sex and treat each other much more respectfully.

They'll throw away the perfect man for them because she's just gotta have HER DAY...the dress, the ring, the fairy tale, ice-ream crapping unicorn, warm fuzzy, yet QUICKLY FLEETING elation of it all.

So, she "settles" for and marries some poor schmuck who thinks she loves him "enough" for him to pull the trigger and marry her, while she's secretly pining over and emailing "S" the whole time, only to finally fuck him over...he's served his purpose in her "I just wanna GET MARRRRIEEED" plan and well, just has to go...

"S" may have really wanted to spend the rest of his life with her, but was too smart to get married, which good men know, sets up a legally skewed dynamic that isn't good for ANYONE.

Her Husband, who was probably so happy to just have a woman reciprocate his desire to feel wanted, played along and got fucked, all while she's still emailing "S."

But let's not forget, she's the one who's really hurting here.

What a fucking bitch. Modern women man my god. I wish I could go back in time. Being raised by my grandparents who lived through the depression. I have never met more real feminine genuine lovely women than my grandmother and those of her friends/peers. They were all widows. All of them. Never remarried. Loved their husbands content to live as grandparents and wait for their time to "join him again" their words not mine. If ever there was a unicorn generation by and large that was it. And I fucking missed it
