This right here is the bane of my professional existence. Almost every time I have a problem in the lab, unless it's the result of an instrument failure, I can trace it back to a nurse of that generation. Without fail, either they sent me a bad sample, they expect me to perform a miracle, or they're complaining about something that they should've seen coming, is out of my hands, or is a direct consequence of their actions.

Not that I can't make mistakes, but unlike nurses all of mine are painstakingly documented, while theirs can disappear into the ether that the sisterhood creates alongside their unions.

Bear in mind, nurses of older generations, who went into the trade when it was a calling to serve, rather than a business to profit from, are largely worthy of the reputation nurses have amongst the public; the younger generation that's matriculated out of the education system in the last decade or so are a different matter entirely. It's a sad state of affairs, but nursing has become the new waitressing: it's basically the one job any single woman can get and make a decent wage at; if you think the nursing trade is still as respectable as it was, you're living in a bygone age that no longer exists.

While I'm sure they work hard, you can say the same about a guy who digs ditches, but nobody puts ditch diggers on a pedestal. These younger ones coming into the trade frankly piss me the fuck off, because when it comes to lab matters they either fuck it up, don't know anything, or do it hours after it's supposed to be done. It's to the point that I suspect every nurse coming into the field has a copy of their job description and their union rep's number on their phones so that they know the minimum they're supposed to do, and have an escape button if they somehow fuck up what they're mandated to do. With the corners I've observed them cutting, I can only IMAGINE what they do up on the floors when lives are on the line.

All this having been said, I don't want to knock on the trade itself, just the fact that any trade that's female dominated is going to end up like this as women as a whole degenerate into thots and landwhales; often times the BEST ally you'll find outside your department is MALE nurses, because those guys end up becoming the de facto commander of their teams even if some fat bitch that plays politics holds the title. The last place I worked had a great male nurse that actually helped solve a lot of problems I had, rather than create them for me.

I could tell stories of the incompetence I saw from female nurses and doctors, but it would probably depress the shit out of you to hear them. Suffice it to say, the new nurses are burning through the reputation of the previous generations who earned it, and if nursing doesn't have the same cultural reputation as working in a meat-packing plant, I'll be genuinely shocked.

Edit: alright, I'll make a post so MGTOW medical professionals can vent, but I know that by doing so it's only a matter of time before someone diving my profile for dirt goes nuclear when they find it. Being MGTOW is often bad enough outside this sub, going against nurses is tantamount to heresy in most quarters. I don't usually throw caution to the wind this way, but I'll do it for the community because I know there's demand. I suppose it doesn't matter either way; the way places like Reddit and YouTube are going these days it's only a matter of time before you'll HAVE to go to places like Voat in order to just say the truth.

I work at a college that is comprised of about 50% nursing students and they are the wooooorst. The bulk of them have this over entitled sense of self worth and yet only a small percentage of them actually graduate.

This is not meant to represent nurses. They are supposed to be "nursing assistants" who go to these overly expensive "schools" to learn to take blood pressures. These women are absolute trash to deal with in a hospital setting. They look EXACTLY like this photo. They make barely minimum wage, have a ton of debt from the "school" that gave them a nursing assistant certificate, and are frequently one paycheck away from disaster. A co-worker complimented one of these women's new hairstyle one day and she told him "if you Zelle me some $$$, I'll show you more!" Trash.......

Nurses. . . Never again. Since having a vasectomy, I have had two women come at me with the “I am late, we need to talk” con. . . One was a nurse. She was sure it was mine and immediately wanted to talk about “our future together”. She legitimately thought I would marry her.

I showed her copies of the procedure paperwork and three tests confirming I am sterile. I also told her that I would pursue legal action if she tried to play it out any further.

She sat there just shaking her head and said I didn’t deserve her anyway, lol. She was absolutely nuts. Great in bed, but crazy nonetheless.
