I knew this girl a few years ago who would play slightly flirty and affectionate, but when I tried to start the topic of dating or a relationship she said -- actual words -- "Oh [gershmonite], you're so close to perfect. But you're a friend. If it were in another time, another life...." I tuned out after "Oh..."

Fast forward a few years, where we have intermittent and dwindling contact, and she'd randomly email or message me, "Hey, I heard (such and such) and it reminded me of you." We'd exchange pleasantries and eventually lose contact.

Then I went hard core red pill and stopped responding altogether. She came on strong, talking about dreams about me, missing me, etc. She's colliding with the wall and realizing her former orbiters have a new awareness that's anything but good for her, and it seems like she's desperate just to have someone respond to her at all.

Where have all the good men gone? They died -- at least the good part. It was sacrificed on the altar of selfish fulfillment that spawned new people who selfishly fulfill their own needs instead, out of survival. A couple of those situations left me incredibly jaded and inward-looking.

Look out for yourself; nobody else will.
