All relationships are built around NEED. You need her female validation, and she needs your commitment, provisions, and protection. This "be happy and content with yourself first" is repetitive garbage. If someone already has everything and is content why the fuck would they want a relationship? Why would they want to ruin their supposed harmony with the turmoil of a relationship? They wouldn't! It's the NEED that keeps a relationship together. NEED is the glue. As soon as the need is gone there is no point to staying in. This is the gamble men take. As soon as the female has fulfilled her prime directive of having children and if she knows you will be fucked over in divorce court and she can take half your shit or more the NEED for you is gone. Is the gamble worth it? You decide. But this garbage of being happy and content first is a complete lie.

I refuse to get into a relationship if I am not perfectly comfortable with mysself because it would be unfair FOR HER. I will absolutely not allow my SO tobe with someone who doesn't like himself as he is, it just seems wrong.

Before I married, I was a fairly happy 30-year-old with a newly bought three bedroom house and low mileage vehicle. I was also fit, looked young for my age and routinely banged attractive 20-something gals. I knew nothing of MGTOW then.

Fast forward eight years and I’m pending divorce, my health is wrecked, I look like s*it most days due to stress and I’m a bit too old/unattractive now to screw the mid/early 20’s-crowd girls I had before marriage. Even though I’m making more money while single and have greater resources, the marriage process has ruined my mind and probably taken 15 years off my life expectancy.

My problem was believing my wife of seven years loved me, until she didn’t.

We found each other after she rode the cc, accrued student loans, lost her nice home and teaching job due to alcoholism. Still not knowing MGTOW principles, and being a genuinely decent guy, I white knighted her, let her move in and eventually caved into her pressure of marriage. She was desperate for a child, so I tried giving that to her, as neither of us have kids. It turned out she couldn’t have kids. After learning this, she stopped being my friend or having any fun with me, began drinking heavily again and went from loving to cruel.

Now, she’s in rehab pending divorce talking all kinds of s*it about me because she can’t accept responsibility for her mistakes. Again, we’re pending divorce, but her stuff still clutters my home -which she can’t take from me, but her memories here sicken me.

She wasn’t able to have a child with me, is approaching 41, is living in her mom’s condo when not in rehab and was calling to cuss me out daily before losing her mind.

Even with no kids, alimony or lost house, the divorce process and mental hell I’ve gone/am going through has made me into an automotant that works and sleeps. I’ve stopped working out or eating much. I don’t crave p*ssy and only leave my home when necessary.

Guys. Do yourselves a favor and run from marriage. It’s a death trap. I’m completely run ragged by a woman whose life I saved multiple times, gave a home to, offered my unending emotional support to and tried to give a child.

Now, she’s coming after my reputation and what little health I have when her latest rehab stint ends. She gets off on keeping me in limbo, expecting the worst. I swear to God that Woman’s a Satanic tool. Please, men, whatever you do, don’t marry. Stay happy in yourselves. If you have sex, don’t get attached and double up that condom.

This might be the end of my happiness. But, there’s still hope for many of you. I’m dead inside at almost 38. Bless you, MGTOW brothers.

I’ve chosen to not edit the spots of this plea which read semi-unclear because it illustrates how terrible I feel much of the time. I can’t say it universally, but in the relationship game women are evil. My soon ex-wife did everything to draw me in and she’s now picking my bones after years of breaking down my defenses and happiness.
