What more funny is these gender studies graduates try to dictate about science, economy and mathematics.

Again spot on, women love to choose the path of least resistance yet expect maximum gains in return, it just don't happen.
[–]UpperClassStout39 points40 points41 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Why wouldn't they? From birth, women are treated differently, given easier options. They are told time and time again that they are special. That they are a perfect princess who can do no wrong, and that one day they will find a man who will 'take care of them'.
They are literally trained from birth to believe they need to put absolutely zero effort into anything and that the entire world should cater to their every single whim and desire and that mistakes don't matter.
They are trained to believe that they can literally do any action and will not have to suffer the consequences of those actions.
This seems to be a problem mostly in the west for some reason. Feminism and Liberalism have robbed them of any sort of responsibility, any sort of actual feminine characteristics. It's sad but there's always that blue haired landwhale with chad and tyrones mixed kids waiting for someone to MAN UP.
[–]GTOH4U28 points29 points30 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's why they vote socialist. They want to sit in a nest and drop eggs while a resource provider caters for their needs.
[–]-E_M_I--1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
How is being an artist the path of least resistance? Since way back in time, the “starving artist” was the typical example of people who decided to study the arts, so it’s the other way around in any case.
[–]U-9465 points66 points67 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Liberal Arts colleges figured out a long time ago that a large chunk of the population are bad at math. So they invented all these bachelor degree programs that have bare minimum math requirements. All the people who are bad at math filled those programs up. Then they got to say "BUT I HAVE A COLLEGE DEGREE" when they were unemployed or working as a waiter. The colleges made money, the kids didn't. Pretty good scam.
Engineering and medical are pretty much the only worthwhile college pursuits. But they require intelligence.
I say this as a person who is terrible at math and has a bachelors in communications. Utter garbage.
[–]Graver_1215 points16 points17 points 6 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
I disagree. Degrees like logistics and supply chain analytics are incredibly useful in today’s economy
[–]SEN1LE8 points9 points10 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
They are useful, but the use case is incredibly specific. Most engineering degrees are transferrable, regardless of how specific they are, with a month course in another type of engineering because the maths foundation is the same (complex calculus).

A useful gender studies degree is MGTOW and costs 0 dollars (unless divorce raped).
[–]xandercade6 points7 points8 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
A degree doesn't mean you went to school to learn useful skills, it literally means "I spent 4 years studying something specific". Colleges realized women could get loans to do it so they created programs to get that money.

I once dumped a girl after 3 months when she told me she had 200k in student loan debt. How does that even happen?
[–]richbeezy10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They use only half of the loan money for tuition, the other half for an apartment in a nice part of town that they can’t afford, SHOES, purses, mani/pedi’s, etc.
All of that money was essentially thrown into a black hole that they’ll never get back.
[–]GhostMan02149 points10 points11 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
If I were a business owner and I had pay gap complaints, I'd reduce the pay of the men by 21% and keep the women's the same.
There. Now nobody's happy, Karen. My business is saving money and we'll see how quickly things change.
[–]the2xstandard17 points18 points19 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
If we did this where I work, the most productive and capable people (most of them men) would simply find employment elsewhere, myself included. The company would be filled with stagnant workers and the ones who try to delegate their jobs to different people (most of them women). In short it wouldn't survive.
[–]GhostMan02144 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nah, you're right. Bad idea. Good thing I don't actually own a business or I'd be in a heap.

I think that the United States needs to culturally reform how we view universities. We're treating them as vocational training institutions when they don't serve that purpose like a programming bootcamp or plumbing/electrician school.
Aside from girls choosing ridiculous fields of study, this fucked up perspective affects guys, too, as there are more than just "gender/women studies" degrees that are viewed to be worthless (or have an indirect pathway to a career). Additionally, the value of a university degree and the workforce is watered down due to oversaturation, which affects society as a whole, rather than one demographic or another.
-> cue let society burn replies lol
[–]narmohare9 points10 points11 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Let society burn
[–]Hey_Paul_Aaaaaaahh1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
In my country you need to have studied advanced maths in grad/high school to become an electrician.
Programming is the same.
I think you can still become a plumber by just "learning the trade" but my point is you are going about it wrong if you incorporate studying into such disciplines.
Men learn by doing, women learn by regurgitating. We don't need to repeat something a million times like they do. When we understand something we understand it. The repeating and regurgitating in school is FOR GIRLS AND WOMEN. It burns boys and men out.
[–]No_Weekend2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Programming classes are the most useless thing anyway. They're a massive time-sink, don't really qualify you for anything, and do a horrid job of teaching people how to write code. It's a 4 year degree to get someone to look at a portfolio or get references.
[–]StLouisJed1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That's what I thought about plumbing, too, until recently I talked to an apprentice plumber that said that since there's (at least where I live) enough technicalities that it requires certifications; so, while it's a trade that is very much learned on-the-job (hence the apprenticeship), there is at least some formal training that needs to happen.

My school's guidance counsellor once told me not to pursue secondary education for a job, but for a passion. Over my life I've come to learn that most any problem you have is temporary in the long run, and ultimately I'd rather be below the poverty line if it means me being content with my decisions and doing what I want to do. Money figures itself out eventually.

Meanwhile the joke classes that were just part of the overall university curriculum were mostly women.

They'll just eventually elect someone that will push their student loan debt onto taxpayers (primarily men)
[–]Soldierbosh1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Lol. Every woman I know earns more than me, and gets regular promotions. I earn less than an experienced bus driver, and have never been promoted.
That's the life of the worker ant, I get it. No complaints. But I just laugh at muh wage gap now. It's horseshit.

Exactly. The industry I went into is kinda fucked and has been for decades now, but you don't and won't see my ass out there bitching at everyone else that I fucked up and they need to make things 'equal' for my degree of choice.
BTW, student loans are okay...if you MUST have one, but DON'T gets married before they're paid off. Better yet, try to steer clear of it altogether if you can stomach it. Equality says *'rent don't buy'*.

All my friends who are guys also went for theater or arts and don't work in those fields. I was on board to going to college for music, but i had a revelation and quickly changed my studies to IT, and now i work in a respectable field and am entirely self sufficient. About their "art", especially the "contemporary art"... Just open YouTube and search, and after a while you may ask yourself why all those "arts" always have something to do with nude. I don't know why but those "artists" seem not to know anything else except to get naked and "perform" about gender issues. As if it's the only thing they know, and their only way to carry their... ideas.

No, you don't need to be a genius to do stem, men and women can both easily do it. I've met countless phds and physicians and the one thing they share in common is a strong work ethic. And this work ethic is commonly found in men.

[–]weatheringwow-2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I'll argue otherwise that woman have their work ethic in different job compared to men. I just want to see how long will you last if you have to work as nurse in hospital or rest home that your main job is to clean old people poopoo and peepee while make them happy at the same time since they will report you if you stop smiling/hurt them . Let see how long your manly 'superior' work ethic last.
Imagine working as stewardess that you are locked up 5++ hours serving pretentious customer in ECONOMY while some of them harassing you .
Do you think your manly superior work ethic will work there?
[+]Zyzz2soon-6 points-5 points-4 points 6 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
No, there is not a significant difference in intelligence between males and females. Men and women on average have negligible differences in general intelligence. Yes, there might be some outliers, but this is not to say women cannot be smarter than men. For example, women have are better at spatial memory, while men are better at mental rotation activities. There many reasons the brains could have evolved this way e.g. hunters vs gathers. But, it is truly a ridiculous statement to insinuate all women are inferior to men. Now those areas you stated where men dominate can not just be constituted to intelligence differences. If you ever worked in stem, you would know that people are not genius-level IQ, and genius-level IQ people don't even make the best researchers. Instead, they all share a common personality or theme in doing whatever it takes to succeed despite the odds. And I believe this mentality is more commonly found in men, hence leading to male domination. Look at women who do succeed and you can notice they all carry a similar personality and traits to other men in their field. Nonetheless, we should bash on gender as each has its potential benefits and drawbacks and instead encourage self-advocacy. As in we should all go our own way. We are all given brains so, therefore encouraging rational and logical decisions is how we should move forward with our small time on this planet.
[–]CeleritySteam0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link
"In cognitive psychology and neuroscience, spatial memory is a form of memory responsible for the recording of information about one's environment and spatial orientation."
Anyone who has ever seen a THOT get a large truck out of park is laughing their fucking ass off at the notion they are better at this.
Hint: It's a skill you evolutionarily develop when you go out surrounded by things that are generally larger than you and can kill you easily and all you have is numbers and thrown spears.
[–]Zyzz2soon-2 points-1 points0 points 6 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link
Yes, because n=1 is totally better representative of the topic than countless research and studies conducted. Just face it, men and women have their own inherent advantages and disadvantages. No need to circle jerk all the time.
[–]CeleritySteam0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
No you science denying cuck, cavemen observed their surroundings and threw spears precisely over great distances or they died. That's called spatial reasoning.
Wahmans stayed in a cave and occasionally gathered fruits and berries. Not much observation required, and if you watch any video of any wahman anywhere notice how she doesn't notice her surroundings or danger, even when surrounded by tense armed men clearly worried something will go down soon yet here is this THOT taking pictures of herself for the 1,488th billionth time.
