Engineering then nursing then accounting and nursing is second only because you have to deal with a 90 percent female work force. Engineering and accounting can both be automated very easily i used to do accounting. But the headache of nursing and dealing with the other nurses no thanks. I also worked at a major hospital for four years and quit even though they offered me a promotion. Nursing is very transferrable and if you can handle the drama could be worth it. Engineering can be real lucrative if you get in to oil and gas i know guys retired by 40.

Engineering:

Working outside

-possibility of having a business.

-more leisure time.

-you can grow and advance in profession.

-exciting,new things.

Nursing

-working inside.

-working long hours.

-possibility of getting sick.

- no side business because there is no time.

-Fatigue.

-toxic environment for men as it is dominated by women.

Accounting.

-working inside.

- Boring working with numbers all day.

- problem with eyes(glasses).

-working long hours from time to time especially at the end of the month.

-No personal growth .You make money for others.

I'm a Senior Software Developer (though, actually self taught, never went to Uni). I've worked from home for the last 3 years, and it's been bliss to be away from the office drama.

A career that doesn't cause you to get injured and you can stay fit. There's no use retiring early if you're fat and injured from years of slogging it out.

Women bully alot in nursing. Most of them have feminist mindset. Engineering has money. If you have interest in accounting more than engineering then don't opt engineering.

Personally I would go engineering or accounting. Engineering pays the most, accounting and nursing are comparable. Depending on where you are the big4 is starting new accountants at $61k and most nurses start at $65k. If engineering I would say go computer science. Should be able to get $75k+ first job out. I advise against nursing though due to the high stress shitty hours and working with mostly women

Do your homework. Be careful. Outsourcing is a thing. You don't want to graduate and find that you can't get a job because of outsourcing.

That’s what’s going to drive your excellence, and help you learn about lots of the little things that connect to your career.

I’m a network engineer by trade and there is nothing I would rather do for work. The additional specialties of IT that I have minor exposure to are way too numerous to list.

Petro Engineer, Biomechanical engineer, Chemical Engineer - Tier 1

Mechanical, & Electrical Engineer - Tier 2

Nursing - Tier 3

Accounting - Tier 4

Would suggest that you go "shadow" a MALE engineer, MALE accountant, and MALE nurse for at least a week each. This will allow you to see "up close and personal" what the REALITY of those professions are.

NOTE: Guidance counselors and career counselors are NOT the places to find reality....i.e. those who can do; those who can't advise....sigh.

The first two years of college are basically the same for whatever. Would suggest that you try to "CLEP" as many of these as possible in order to save you both money and MORE IMPORTANTLY TIME in the long run.

Your time and money are valuable. Don't waste them listening to those who do not have your best interests at heart.

My personal favourite of the three choices is ENGINEERING. More MALE oriented and also you have the option of running YOUR OWN business in the future.
