read through some of the threads. But the best teacher is experience. Get yourself a girlfriend and treat her good. Respect her, love her and be honest to her. Let her know that you are happy to be with her. Compliment her. Show affection, and be there for her........ then one day out of the blue, ask her to see her phone and email. Be sure to check her trash, and her sent folder.

I think you may get the best understanding of MGTOW when you are in late highschool / college years.

but reading the material on this board will prepare you for it all.

That needs to be flipped. You pop into existence, grow up in a family, go to school, learn about the world, figure out your place in it and what you might want to do to explore it, whatever.

Why does any aspect of your life require romantic relationships? There's nothing inherently wrong with the idea, but who put the idea in your head that you had to have one?

In other words, romantic relationships are an aberration from the norm. Other than the evolutionary advantage that most organisms seek out a partner to procreate with, why do you feel you need to do that?

Did someone tell you that you were less without a romantic relationship? Did Disney movies make you feel you needed a princess? Is everyone around you doing it and you feel left out?

To put it another way. Lots of people drink alcohol. Some know the risks involved. Some people dive in and drink bottles of vodka a day. Some have some wine with dinner.

Why? There's no real benefit to it. It's not required to sustain life. You're asking us to justify why you shouldn't drink, but shouldn't you first analyze and understand why you think you should drink alcohol? Or do heroin? Or skydive? There's lots of negatives to drinking, and not a huge number of positives.

Justify why you need a romantic relationship, and we'll argue why, perhaps, you don't.

Sexual desire is evolutionary, romantic relationships are social.

Why do you think you feel you should choose romance? Not that there's anything wrong with that.

MGTOW is not a philosophy of isolation. Go ahead and do things with friends and even have relationships. Just don’t go into it blind. Know the risks. Don’t let anyone especially someone you have “feelings” for force you into commitments you don’t 100% support.

Finish school, go to college, find a nice young girl, get married, have children, and live happily ever after. It’s as if it were a check list of things to accomplish in life and that each one will naturally lead to the other. However, many people can attest that life is never that simple. Some men have begun to question whether the journey is worth it and if the “happily ever after” actually exists. They are waking up, taking a good look around at other relationships as an example of what to do and what not to do, and finding out that they’re not liking what they’re seeing. Ideally someone enters a relationship for love, companionship, and stability; however, love can quickly turn into hate, companionship turns into convenience, and high divorce rates will kick your stable life out from under you. Often times our expectations are our biggest let down. Men grow up wanting wives to help them raise a family, share the burden of life, and to peacefully grow up with. Women, however, grow up wanting the Disney princess lifestyle. From a young age they dream of their wedding day and romanticize how it will be so that by the time the actual day comes the man doesn’t really have much of a say as to what goes on, other than “pay up” in order to give her the fairy tale dream she’s been wanting all these years. Like prince charming, the man is often a shadow, side character to the story and the woman and her white dress are what’s most important. Once the wedding happens and the honeymoon is over it turns out marriage isn’t as easy as checking off an item on a list. Most people who realize that the marriage stage of life doesn’t provide the bliss they were told it would and quickly move onto the next stage, children. When it comes to children, men have practically zero reproductive rights. The most common form of male birth control, condoms, can be easily circumvented with a safety pin. While this is by no means an argument to place the responsibility of birth control solely on women, it does suggest that since the responsibility of birth control are on both parties, both parties should have a say in whether or not to bring the child into the world. When it comes to abortions, a man has no say in whether or not an abortion should take place. If a man wants to raise a child on his own and the woman carrying his child wishes to abort it, the man legally has no say, and visa versa. With so much responsibility at stake, why wouldn’t a man be allowed to weigh in on a decision that will impact the rest of his life? It’s only years later do people begin to realize that there is no “happily ever after”, no gold at the end of the rainbow, and you’re just as likely to find a dead end down the marriage road. Indeed, 50% of all marriages end in divorce (CDC: Stats of Marriage), and 80% of all those divorces are filed by women (CDC: 80 Percent). Could it be that women are just unhappy with their men and feel they could do better? Perhaps that's true; but it's also true that women can't even wait to end the marriage before looking for the next best thing. Recient study shows that women are far more likely to cheat on their husbands, most often not even feeling guilty about it saying that such romantic daliances "improve the state of their marriage" (Verweij, Burri, Zietsch). With 80% of women initiating divorce, their excuse of just wanting something extra comes off as both shallow and untrue. Still, in the interest of fairness and equality, if a man were to admit to cheating on his wife in order to improve the state of their marriage, his excuse would be laughed at and his actions would be publically shamed. Never the less, unfaithfulness is nothing new. Science and the study of DNA have shown that more women contribute to the gene pool then men, meaning throughout history a small selection of men have impregnated mulitple women and thus passed down their genes. (Human paternal and maternal demographic histories). With science and DNA providing evidence that women are more likely to cheat then men, and have been cuckholding their husbands for 70,000 years, it should come to no surprise to men when the inevitable divorce comes down. What is shocking to most men, are the results of their divorce. While most men are still the bread winners of the family, half the family’s wealth goes to the wife. Often times a man will wind up making mortgage payments for a house he no longer lives in. Never the less, in today’s world it doesn’t matter if a man earns more than his recent ex-wife or not, roughly 30% of his income will be given for child support if its left up to the courts. While financially supporting your child is important it’s also important to ensure that the money does, in fact, go to the child. The majority of all child support payments do not get audited, and thus women are not really held accountable to ensure the child is financially looked after. If a man is really unlucky, he lives in a state with alimony, and thus another 40% of his income will be taken to ensure his “strong independent” ex-wife is well looked after. Whether or not a woman gets alimony, rest assured she can still get assistance in the form for special designed welfare programs for single mothers as alimony and child support aren’t considered “income”. With so much to look forward to, you’d think someone would take notice and begin to opt out of “marriage with children” concept if it’s so likely to end up with being divorced with children you never really see. As it turns out, more and more people are waking up to this fact, and thus in the past 40 years marriage rates have fallen (Pew Research Center). In the past 40 years the number of adults who have never married has risen from 15% to 28%. Compound this with the number of people who are divorced/widowed and you have a little less than half the US population who are currently not married. What’s most interesting is that the average age to get married has been pushed back from 20 to 22 years up to 26 to 28 years. Could it be that more people are waking up to the fact that marriage doesn’t lead to a happily ever after? Are men realizing that marriage offers little to no long term benefits? That remains to be seen. What is clear is that men are at an extreme disadvantage when it comes to marriage, reproductive, and custody rights in the courts. With the legal system stacked so heavily against men, as well as statistics showing they’re likely not to get the love, companionship and stability they originally sought in the marriage, it’s no wonder why so many men are deciding to opt out of the ordeal. One thing is clear, is that both men and women need to have a serious look at what their expectations are, and what reality offers if a couple has any hope in growing old together and living happily ever after.

This isn't the path for you then. I hate to say this and I might get a lot of hate but most real mgtows have already come to that conclusion by themselves, they don't need people telling them how it is or what it is, they understand it and they have their own reasons for choosing it, in that way they are stronger for their belief, rather than just being told to believe something. If I could say, I would say, do you follow god because he himself told you to follow him or maybe someone is trying to convince you to follow him? You should follow god because you came to that understanding by your own means and follow god because it is something that you yourself sought out and come to accept as reality. That is mgtow.

Also I'm not religious but metaphor and shit.

Find one man who has a long-term romantic relationship that worked out over 30. Likely you will not find anyone other than an occasional bi-sexual. However, if you do ask yourself is it more likely I win the lottery or end up like this guy. Go with the most likely. The Powerball has better odds than the Mega-millions.

Abandoning romance is a process you have to personally learn I think.

But I will tell you that forging a genuine male friendship before everyone is obsessed with marriage and career will be immensely rewarding and you should focus on that before anything else.

MGTOW isn't for everyone. If you have dignity and morals the way women behave nowadays will repulse you. If you are a simp, mangina, cuck, low self esteem type of guy, the current social climate might seem normal or great to you. Its up to each man to decide for themselves. I have friends that have been divorced 4 times and they are still trying to get married to another woman. They don't even think anything is wrong.

You're 16, you're young, this is why I won't attack you for that silly childish "I dare ya". You want to learn something? Great! Stay quiet, open your eyes, sit back read the posts, the stories of other men who pour their hearts out and make your own damn mind. This isn't church, no one wants to actually convert anyone. Just warn others of the risks of marriage and co-habitation, and the benefits of going your own way. I wish you the best of luck my young friend, the women you will grow up to know...holy shit..
