Its funny that alot of men (myself included) go trhough this phase, with the expection mabye of gay men and or super chads. Basically you are wondering how to get laid, or how to get a certain girl. And instead of just telling her you want to fuck her you either go nice guy mode, with the internal romantization that this is what women really want in the end a nice guy who is there for them. Then ofcourse you have the white knight mode, accting like you are intrested in her struggles and trying to fix them for her, this is what you basically do for any girl who gives you one ounch of attention. Almost all men never learn from these phases, and they think they actually work, cause most of these men will marry at the age of 30-35 with a women of the same age when she has lost alot of what she used to offer. They claim they are soulmates, or perfect for eachoter, while the simple fact is that he was the saftey net and now he gets to fullfill his provider role to said women. Some men get lucky and the marriage actually work, some met get lucky and they divorce and do not have kids, some men get unlucky and either stay in a loveless marriage or get sucked dry by divorce. Its a stupid narative young men (and men who do not learn) internalize that if they act the 'right' way they will get what is comming to them. Basicaly a white knight is a nice guy and vice versa, the only thing that they are not are free men, men who do what they want with their lives and do not care about what women think. Then again smart people learn from their mistakes, stupid people tend to repeat them over and over.

I mean the second guy sounds more logical and I don‘t argue that you can‘t be normal friends with any women out there. BUT if you want something from someone and they reject you, then you either become normal friends OR CUT ALL CONTACT IF YOU CAN‘T OTHERWISE.
