The percentage of women actually deemed ugly or below average is very low. Even a plain Jane is considered hot in many instances in the modern world. A woman who has long hair, decent skin, and isn't a fat ass is basically an automatic 8 or 9 in most westernized countries in today's age.

This is certainly true, look at the women in the most advanced STEM fields, most of them are not hot.

Hot women usually never make it that far, they usually can't even make it through a single 4 year college degree before popping out a bunch of kids.
