If I go out, rather than sit in line like a weirdo, I sit at the bar and get my food on, my drink on, and leave before the idiots waiting for a table are even seated yet.

That being said, I also love going to a high end place requiring a reservation and getting a table now and then for fun, I do advocacy by example. And it freaks the straights out.

Another fun thing to do, is next time you’re getting on a full elevator, board, but don’t turn around. Stand and face everyone instead of turning your back to them. Really freaks out the straights.

I love the looks I get from couples when I'm eating alone. I'm there content enjoying my food while watching said couple and other couples looking miserable. They look at u surprised ur eating alone. Meanwhile they are not even engaging their significant others in conversation. Both parties mesmerized by their phones not even noticing the other person. Deep down they wish they were in my shoes.

Call me weird, but I go dancing alone. Usually look for clubs that aren't crowded by thirsty dudes that clog up the dance floor like turds, sticking around not doing anything. Once I find a empty dance floor, I let loose and go all out. I don't really know how I look when I dance, folks say I'm an awesome dancer, some say I'm crazy. Whatever the case maybe, I keep dancing solo like Han.

Sometimes, Thots will come over and attempt to shake their ass. I promptly turn around and dance in the other direction. Lol, feels good to reject Thots.

I've also tried dancing with friends or other girls. Others just don't go at the pace I want. I want to go faster than the speed of light, not stand around all night, use all my energy, all might.

Anyways, solo is more fun. No shame in it. They won't remember you and I won't remember them.

Nope. I'm on a first name basis with all the servers in all the restaurants that I frequent. They're usually inquisitive at first as to why I'm sitting there with a book instead of with a girlfriend. I don't talk about MGTOW, I just tell them very succinctly that I am happily single. They never bring it up again.

I straight up don't give a fuck what anybody thinks about me or the way I live my personal life anyway.

Almost never but the rare time i get a bit of a pause when I say table for one is if it’s a nicer “romantic” place that is more known to cater to couples. If I’m at a diner then never.

Not even. I eat out alone 99% of the time and in some cases the cashier/host will want to get to know me for being a regular. Ive gotten a few snapchats actually but I’m full on monk. Could care less what anyone thinks of me.

I frequent one place every Friday after work for dinner and drinks, it’s my “me” time to be catered to. All the staff know me, and I have a table reserved for me (if I get there before the rush). I order my drinks, and wait about 15 mins before the food, and plug in my headphones and just zone out. The staff knows to just let me be. I catch people staring at me in my peripheral sight, but I don’t give a damn; because at this point in the meal - I am feeling good, being taken care of, and at a place of Zen with my music.

I get stared at by the waitresses from afar at the restaurant I frequently visit at 3am. But they treat me well. Couldn't care less what they think, they know I just eat in peace, pay for my food, leave a decent tip and I'm out the door as soon as I'm finished.

Worked in restaurants for a bit. I can guarantee you that none of the staff thinks less of a solo diner. "One tops" are way more common than you think.

Yeah seems that way sometimes but I couldn’t care less what they think. You’ll notice when you’re truly indifferent the female staff will notice and act a little different towards you. Like they’ll become extra nice and subservient. Just my personal experience and observation.

I enjoy eating alone. I live in a big city so maybe it is a bit different here, but there was only one Passion where I was eating alone and it was a REALLY fancy and well known steak house. I had just come directly from taking care of a sick friend (he ended up passing away of cancer) and was not dressed nicely like everyone else. The waitresses were fine (they knew me well enough) but there were biger groups all around me who just kept looking at me. If I looked back they would give me really sympathetic eyes. They didn't act like I was pathetic, just like I was in a bad place or something?

Either way, delicious fucking steak.

Here in LA its easy to get friends to go with me to the cheaper places but I have one friend who has been enjoying the fine dining with me as of late.

Never ate at a table alone, always go sit at the bar area. Better service, you can talk to the bar tender, and always allows yourself to get in a conversation with someone else ......tell me how it works out.

I haven't yet found a table service restaurant with tables for one.

I usually ask for a "table for two" even if I'm alone, and I might ask my server to remove the extra setting when I sit down or when they bring the menu.

I also try to go during off-peak meal times (e.g. 3pm) to avoid other diners, and especially to avoid families with children.

I all ways tell em table for 2 and that I am waiting on someone, then about 30 min I say they had something come up. Or some times I just don't give a shit and tell em table for one, but usually they will screw you and put you by the front door or the kitchen which are the worst tables in the house in my opinion.

during the 90's my job required 95% travel so i ate out alone a lot. mid to high end restaurants were the norm. prior to kindles and tablets i'd just take a book and read while i ate or drank. couple of my coworkers (there were 4 of us at this level) did the same. the one or two guys that chased tail sat at the bar. never had a problem eating alone didnt care then what people thought pay even less attention to it now that im older.

Some of my absolute best meals were eaten in solitude. Fuck societal norms and anyone who says it makes a guy look bad or stupid or lonely.
