Excellent choice of dog for the end of the world.

I think i would have a border collie instead of a German Sheppard but its very hard to chose between them. My mate took his with him to Iraq when he was there as a contractor. Saved his life on more than one occasion by either smelling or hearing the insurgents. In one case it bit an insurgents face off in an ambush.

The book was decent. If I remember correctly the woman was actually a spy for the "enemy" and it turned out the MC was the villain.
