Idk, the post itself is misleading, because he may have made the company profits but he basically stole millions from regular working class Americans rather than investors. She should get a similar sentence, but not more severe. What she did is not as bad as what he did in my personal opinion

He wasn’t convicted of stealing money from regular working class Americans by raising drug prices. He was convicted of running a Ponzi scheme and scamming investors. Which is exactly what Holmes did.

only insurance companies paid that price, not working class Americans, since they gave the drug for free to individuals. plus, if he couldn't raise the price, he wouldn't have bought the drug from the company that was going to stop production of it because the price was too low. of course, the media demonized him for clickbaity headlines.

Pretty disgusting oversimplication. He had the rights to a drug that helped people with HIV/AIDS and he jacked the price up to an insane amount. He made the pill go from $13 each to $750 each.
To label this as simply "raising prices on a drug he owned" is ridiculous.
OP has a valid point because she should have gotten more than a 500k fine for her $700M fraud, but the way you are defending Shkreli is fucking asinine.

The blonde cow is Elizabeth Holmes. Search for Theranos disaster on Youtube. She lied her way through her entire career - she lost hundreds of millions of investor money.
The punchable face below is Martin Shkreli - he made millions on price gouging of some medicaments.
Shkreli undoubtedly is a POS, but because he is a man, he needed to be destroyed. No need to punish Holmes though.

Well Shkreli jacked up prices of drugs cancer patients needed...by tens of thousands of percent. Just because he could. That's a special kind of dickhead. Can't really compare the two.
Lots of dudes have done similar to what Holms did, and gotten away scott-free.
However, it is universally understood the courts are much more lenient on women. The question is, if Holms were Shkreli, would she have recieved seven years?
Frankly I think she should get 20 for what she did, scammed investors out of hundreds of millions.
Shkreli should get 25 to life.
