All humans seek power through controlling our environment. This is childish and insecure behavior where she seeks to control her man by pointing out that everything he does is wrong so she should be in charge to show him how to do it better. It's common in insecure people and usually stems from depression.

Basically she's angry at herself for being a pathetic loser and taking it out on him to feel better about her situation. No one should put up with this treatment, but it does seem to come from females most often.

See, this is the problem. Women didn't want to be housewives anymore, so we said OK. They wanted to go to college even more than we did, so we said OK. They wanted to be CEO's, senators, doctors, lawyers, pilots, combat soldiers, and we said OK.

Now they hate their lives anyway. Somehow this is all our fault....?

Women cannot be happy settling for average and below average men. They evolved to serve and get fucked by a super-alpha male who took most of the hottest women for himself. This one comment by the man in question says it all. It is simply never enough for women in the modern era. This creates MGTOW and drives men away from relationships.

People with unrealistic standards tend to isolate themselves, if not practically then emotionally. The girlfriend may tear through any number of people feeling constantly dissatisfied, not realising that people like the guy you've described are really on the high end of catches as partners.

I'm sure the guy will have better luck with a more down to earth person. It's no loss to anyone but the ex girlfriend, really.
