I did not have kids for legacy (guess who pushed for it) but having boys can be great for sure. The problem is I have only daughters, thus my legacy is already ruined on all levels. 100% loser here but not even thinking about death.

It's the only thing I've thought about for the past one and half years ever since I experienced the Mandela Effect firsthand. Based on my research and investigation, I've concluded that we are living in a virtual simulation matrix, death is a relatively new component that was introduced, and "Heaven" is actually an illusion that was created to trap our souls by making us think we're in paradise when we're actually stuck there until they wipe our memories clean and force us to reincarnate again.

I sometimes have fears of death. Will I go to hell? Will I arrive at the pearly gates and meet god? Will I sleep forever? Is there an afterlife? Will Jesus save me and take me to his new world away from this disgusting sinful planet?

I seldom have bad thoughts about my final moments laying in the hospital bed, gasping for air, and hearing nothing but my heartbeat slowly stop until I've arrived. Weird, since I don't know what death is like.

I don't want to leave my loved ones behind. But such is life, for it can be given and taken away. They say death is the opposite as pre-birth/birth yet during pre-birth we felt nothing.

I don't think about death often. When I do it's with the hope that it will come before I get senile and unable to live by myself in my own house. Having kids to avoid being old alone doesn't work in many cases. My daughter is mentally disabled, lives 400 miles from me and I see her at most a couple of times a year. I've provided for her after I die as well as for my dogs, but haven't yet decided how to leave the rest of my assets. I don't feel a need to leave anything behind when I die, but I'd like to make sure what I leave is left in good order and benefits someone.

The earliest artefact of writing of humanity is The Epic of Gligamesh. It's a Sumerian story about a god-king that quests to find immortality. Your post is no different to what humanity mused over 4000 years ago during our historical beginnings.

You're going to die. The time you have to live is best spent attaining immortality. You have three options:

Eventually, the convergence of science and technology will grant us life extension either in terms of our biology or consciousness. This will not likely happen in your life time. If it does, you will likely not be able to afford it. Even then, you're beholden to the life-span of the planet or galaxy.
You can reproduce yourself in the form of a crude carbon-based facsimile in which your consciousness doesn't survive. I.e. Offspring.
You can master universal consciousness and achieve control of all things, immortality included. This would require a life dedicated to discipleship of the occult, alchemy, the mystery schools, Gnosticism, Kundalini sexual magic etc.

The manner is which you talk of legacy, is the hallmark of a man reconciling with his own death. Don't reconcile with death. Prevent it. There is no pursuit more meaningful.

Death is inevitable. You cannot run from it. It is bitter truth for every living being. When someone knows it, then it is easy to understand that we are here for a purpose. I will not talk about the purpose but the life here is a short span. There is eternal after life and once you understand this much, you prepare for the afterlife not this life. Once you are preparing for afterlife, you are no longer afraid of death but instead you welcome it because it frees you from all the bad things of this world. This feeling of satisfaction is only understood by people who act upon the way of being amongst people of right in second life.

The other thing about legacy and religions, I should say that every human is for itself in this world. He/She is alone on the journey. We come to this world by means of other humans. Humans reproduce. We have relations for this reasons but these relations are limited to the world. In the after life, you have no parent, your parents have no parents, you are all equal. You are of your mom's age etcetra. This is how I understand these concepts. These concepts lines up very clearly with concepts of the world and after life.

For example, If I have examination coming up and I know exactly what I should prepare myself with then I welcome the examinations. I feel satisfied and cool about it opposite to ones who aren't prepared. I know that I prepared so I will be ok. I will get a reward too. So I am happy to take one exam. Death is the exit of examinations, we are part of taking an exam. World is made to be a great test centre. Human tests are different yet same. Prepare for now and pass in the end. You will have no fear of death.

Passing on your legacy- my grandpa/ma has spread their genes well enough that the loss of mine isn't going to count.

About death: There's always a dilemma between painful and painless death- the intellect seeks a painful death for it is the last ever feel I am going to have; painless is like demising earth without even you knowing it. Both is appealing equally.

Time of death: MGTOW gave me a very clear prescription- healthy diet, take good care of skin, internals, teeth and such. But the moment it is clear that I need another person to take care of me, that is my calling. I am 32 now, I guess i will push 60-65.

Occasionally. I would prefer to die quickly. The thought of a lingering death in hospital surrounded by others waiting for me to die and get it over with doesn't appeal. Legacies and heirlooms are ridiculous, just as " my name will live forever " ; no it won't. Strangely enough I spent the early morning in A&E having my foot strapped up as a result of an injury. Most of the patients were there because of Flu and being old their reaction to it. It's a reminder to keep on top of physical well being.

I think a practice of reflecting on death with an un attached view is very useful in life. Death reminds us that everything is imperanent and empty. Usually in the west people we see that a something negative because they want to hold onto everything. But in many ways it can be a freeing and positive experience. To let go. Like a river. It's better to relax and go with the river than to swim against it and tire your self out

I do fairly often, but as a positive thing. To me the knowledge and acceptance of death is an incredibly liberating thing. Sometimes remembering that I'm going to die and that everything is transient can help put problems in perspective and it always makes me feel much much better.

But I've also had a lot of death in my life. My father (73), and sister (19) both died of cancer, I've survived it, several cousins never came back from war, a few murders, etc. I like to think I've experienced enough of it that I'm prepared to meet my own but I know that's not true.

I think if you’ve never married then your suicidal thoughts are ....not really unmanageable. If you get married and burned through divorce after losing your kids...it’s much harder to manage and pull yourself out. I hate that brother.
