(if you guys get tired of reading, just skip down to the last 2 paragraphs)

I've had some really shitty luck with women in the past 5 years. Women have gotten increasingly pickier and flakier than before. Down on my luck meeting women the old fashioned way, I again resorted to online dating, thinking maybe the results would differ this time.

I'll try to make this short. Started with POF, 3 girls first one flaked on me before our scheduled date, which I was looking forward to.

Second I met and she didn't look nice like she did in her pics. She was busted, tore up from the floor up, 2 kids, worked at a daycare and lived with her parents. I try not to be too superficial, I let her looks slide, we go to a bar, start drinking and talking. This chick is dumb as fuck, no vocabulary, no intellect, and took 2 different anti depressant meds. It was weird, she'd never traveled anywhere and didn't know anything outside of the suburb she lived in. I'd mention bars in really cool areas in the heart of Houston and she didn't know any of it. She was a white girl from a nice suburb, went to a high quality high school, but everything about her screamed trailer park trash. Of course I payed for our drinks, although she only had 2 cheap bears. I choose to jack off rather than see her again.

Third chick, met at a bar, very similar to the second, pics were very deceiving, she was 30 looked but looked like she was pushing 40, kinda chubby, real bad double chin, rough face skin texture. Once again I try to make it work, she's the shy low self esteem type. We drink and talk and she pays her own tab, which earned her some points. We hangout 3 more times, I paid for one date (I think, I can't remember exactly) I sleep with her twice. She's socially awkward, always apologizing for shit that's not offensive. She calls, I tell her I'm very tired and hadn't slept much, she asks if I'd come spend the night. I get dressed and leave, halfway to her place she calls and tells me her friend called and asked to come over. I say you knew I was coming blah blah blah, I make a U turn and drive 30 mins back home. Then she stops replying to my texts. :-/ (shrugs)

I try okcupid, it seemed good from the start, had a several nice looking girls rate my okcupid profile a 4 or 5. I get that "you are hot" email. A couple flat out messaged me first. First a couple just stopped replying, but I had a few numbers and I felt good. Well they slowly dried out. About 15 nice looking rated me hot. I only met 4.

First chick I talked to, hottie, we message a lot for a couple days, then she asked how many girls I was talking to. I tell I've only been a couple of days, messaged a couple of other girls, but haven't actually met anybody. She flips out, sends me a bunch of crazy messages about being player blah blah blah.

Another chick, I really liked, got her number, lots of texting. When I finally talked to her on the phone, she had no enthusiasm in her voice and didn't seem like she was looking forward to actually meeting. I thought she was interested, the girl was just a really bored attention whore like most of the other ones that rated me high.

First chick I meet, was way heavier then in her pics. Said she gained a few pounds over the last couple of weeks. I ask to spilt the check, never contacted her again.

Second was a hipster type chick with a lot of tattoos, 2 kids and lived in a bad area. I knew there was nothing long term, but I was bored and lonely so I met with her. She showed up a half hour late, had drinks yada yada. I paid for everything. Then I'd hear back every other day. She flaked by 2 more times, apologizing for each. I just blocked her number.

Third, pics look normal, in person looked like straight up crackhead with black teeth.

Fourth chick, I've got nothing so I decide to give a fat chick with 2 kids a shot. She said she was 5'1" 180 (could've been heaver than that) Made 37k per year with no child support. We go on a long date, drive around town to several places. I pay for 2 meals, several drinks and she doesn't offer to pay her share of anything. The following weekend I tell where I'll chillin and she's welcome to come, but can't find a baby sitter on short notice. She can't really go anyway so I ask if could go to her place. She said she wasn't comfortable with me meeting her kids just yet. I tell well I told her I'll be here and there and she couldn't come. She said we had to make plans, so we make plans to go eat sushi. WTF I'm I doing? I realized I was doing a bunch of shit to get good with some chick I don't even like. She wanted me to wine and dine her several times till we get serious. I pulled the plug.

My buddy that met his wife at a family oriented salsa club, where the girls a more respectable. He suggested I take salsa lessons. Right when I was about to do it, I stopped myself. I feel like I'm jumping through hoops, it's not something I'm interested in. I said fuck all this shit.

I'm still open for a relationship, but I'm not gonna put 2 shits worth of effort into it. I'm just sick of jumping through hoops and paying for shit. If a women is interested she can pursue me. Flaking has become an epidemic so I won't set up dates anymore. I'll just tell em "hey I'll be at XYZ bar tonight, you're welcome to come if you'd like" I'll even buy you a beer, one beer. If they show up, cool, I'm doing my thing whether they come or not.
