TL;DR: disregard corporations, acquire equilibrium

I'm not really sure if this is the right sub to talk about this. I see a few doing this, but doesn't seem to be much. This might also sound like random venting, but I really wonder if this isn't a case of many. I understand that mgtow can be summarized as "don't get married/cohabitate/give stuff to woman", but I see a lot of men going much beyond that.

Since a few months my white collar job in a big corporation started to deteriorate a lot almost out of nowhere. Confrontations, backstabbing, lack of cooperation, harassment, etc. I stopped calling friends from my hometown for the lack of good news. All this is not the first time to happen. Anyone who works as a software developer probably knows the pattern (and for those who don't, googling by "burnout" and "programming" will reveal a lot).

But last week I noticed something. It was my balance. Since two months ago, all my monthly expenses is already been covered by my monthly passive income. Meanwhile, things just gets worse and worse in the office(another topic the probably would deserve a different post). If I quit it, my expenses will already plummet. It will go down even more if I move to a smaller city, where the quality of life (pollution, groceries goods, traffic) is much higher than this Bladerunner-like city, with a lower cost of living. This would mean that I would still have savings in the end of the month from the passive income source itself, which will end up growing and providing more income.

I already posted before about what is happening in a group I'm in after women started to come in. It happened almost at the same time with my job. I take full responsibility on this. By a mix of naivety/gullibility(even at 35) with a well hidden batshit insanity (which full contact martial arts helps me a lot to keep in check), adapting to corporation culture is tremendous struggle to me. It is even worse when it is related to software development. I love programming, but I despise its self destruction culture(again, another topic).

It feels like all my life is disconnected or crumbling. I don't know if it always was, and having contact with a few lines of thinking(that include MGTOW) made it more evident. Maybe the realization of my passive income helped it too. It is harder to accept to get a beating when you know you can react.

So I think I'm ready to implement my version of "ghosting": move out to the smallest possible city where cost of living and quality of life is optimal. There are above 6 million of people in the metropolitan area where I live, so even 300,000 would be small in my account.

I'm still in the planning phase, but I don't think I will take long on it. I'm writing this after yet another episode/consequence of this deterioration in my workplace, and it is getting to difficult to maintain it.

I would definetly not consider it a retirement at all. 35 sounds to young to stop. I think this is more like a existential retreat with undefined date to end. It is like a few rounds of testing on my "f- you money".

Let's see what happens.

EDIT: I'm astonished. Most people commenting seems to just get it. I was expecting to read what I usually hear when talking about that with people IRL. As I commented below, I'm not looking for a circlejerk, but damn, feels good to get acknowledged sometimes.
