Some backstory: I've been GMOW since my early 20s and I've rarely dated because I've always preferred to do things on my own or with close friends sometimes. I really value my time alone and I truly felt free in my solitude.

I'm in my early 30s now and a couple of months ago I met this girl and reluctantly decided to start dating her because she asked me out. I wasn't expecting anything serious, just some casual sex and the company of an attractive woman. Now, after dating her for this long, she has developed strong feelings for me and wants to see me much more often during the week. She's even noticed that I keep coming up with excuses and declined to see her more than twice a week, which has made her even more clingy. She's a good person so I have some guilt for unintentionally leading her on but I feel like I'm suffocating and I need my life back.

I want to be honest with her and tell her that I don't want to be in a relationship and that I want to go my own way again. How can I break it off with her without her reacting over-dramatically and what is the best way to make her understand?

I know there is no definitive answer but I just wanted to know what you guys think.

Also, sorry if this post doesn't really belong here but I love this sub and I value all of your opinions. Thank you.
