I think that right now the move is to go with avoiding women all together. TRP seemed mostly about an almost PUA approach and pining for the "old days" where women had no sex partners and you could just grab one and she'd be thin and pretty and submissive.

The problem with this is that you think there's magic unicorns (there aren't) and that they won't divorce you (they will) or cheat on you, or believe in "pair bonding" like women are ducks or something you can imprint on.

Maybe it's only weakness is that it gives false hope to men, seems very little admission that if you're a ugly or just average bloke you're pretty much fucked in today's dating world. We've entered into a winner takes all phase, be Chad or go hungry. No amount of self improvement is going to turn you into Chad unless you were almost there to begin with sadly. Just because you lift and learn to hold frame won't give you a harem like Chad (although I still think you should lift and hold frame). i am reading the mgtow subreddit for a very long time now, it was below 1k subs back then. one thing i notice is a lot of people say they started out at TRP or as PUA, got burned, got wise over time or whatever and ended up at MGTOW. thats kind of how I see TRP and also PUA. seriously, you gotta be a dumbfuck to fall for the "hold frame" and other bullshit for years. two or three years you can fool yourself maybe but it takes a special kind of idiot to stay in that state / mindset indefinitely. even if you get pussy because you got good genes and money and apply female psychology correctly, eventually you will notice how shallow, dumb and what a time waste it is. its just that average men that dont get pussy start googling how to get laid and then end up at TRP or PUA. that search wont lead you to MGTOW, getting burned will.

TRP opens your eyes and often changes you. You cant stay there forever and talk about it. You move on, often to places just like this.

Without TRP, how could most men explain going MGTOW? The media, friends and family are feeding you pleasant lies about women, and you just randommly decide to go your own away? I don't date anymore for the same reason I don't hang out with the same "thug" crowd I grew up with: I have very little to gain and A LOT to lose. Some of the criminal charges my old buddies are getting these days are beyond anything I could have predicted in the past.

I have seen 2 types of TRP guys.

1.) The hot and successful guys who learn PUA moves and it works for them. These guys bang a ton of women and in the end burn out. They see true female behavior and had their fill.

2.) Ugly guys who try PUA moves. it does not work for them and they drop out.

In order to keep PUA going you need fresh bodies to keep the ranks filled. On the other hand. Most MGTOWs stay. Because once you learn the truth, how many men will knowingly go back to the plantation.

I don't agree, at least not exactly, as I've been a part of it for a while.

Part of the issue is as it grew there seemed to be quite a large number of garbage posters and emotionally-driven, almost childish guys commenting and adding nothing to say the least. It did seem to have more quality topics near the first of last year as well as prior to that however I do agree it has declined in quality.

Unfortunately the types of guys I see posting sometimes have caused part of the (wrongful) reputation about "FRAME BRAH" or "LIFT" when advice like this is only part of the bigger picture, not an end-all.

I am not 100% sure but I would imagine the more well-rounded, sensible, and mature guys who don't behave like goobers may have grown a bit tired of it. It's a shame, as I really gained value from a few posts including the incredibly difficult experiences some men documented and warned others about.

Don't forget the wrath the TRP subreddit has gained from feminists and SJWs, etc., as it has been one of the few places where men are able to communicate without censorship and I can assure you, those types would love to ban free speech for men in any red-pill venue, be it TRP or MGTOW.

I've always seen TRP as self destructive in that, it promotes extreme views on women and political discourse. This leaves the impressionable male a strong sense of anger and loneliness with the only bonding mechanism being restricted to similar extreme online communities.

TRP also diverts male suffering and blame onto others rather than using it constructively toward the self to become a stronger individual, along with promoting extreme political views which makes one insufferable to others and PUA channels with these incredibly charismatic YouTubers promising unlimited pussy by purchasing programs. Have not really got into that sub, seems like Its allot of hypotheses and theory's on dating, and how to fake value. A lot of beta cucks coping and pretending to be alpha. All these theories can only really help someone that are deeply bluepilled. How much you get laid will almost always already be determined by you're genetics how many friends you have and you're position in the hierarchy. I got banned from TRP about 4 months ago because my views were a little to MGTOW for them. I spoke truth, not the sugar coated, chest beating bullshit that seeps out from their usual rhetoric. I found TRP not long after my divorce. I lost my "mojo", and needed a guide to get back on the horse being single again. I absorbed everything I could. I applied everything I could into meeting women, and it worked. I'm not a bad looking guy. Was a bit out of shape, but nothing a few months back in the gym and away from sweets couldn't fix.

I posted regularly their for a lil' over a year. Made some waves. Built a bit of a following with my words of wisdom, and how I took a more militaristic outlook on things (11 years in the USMC will do that). But around January things changed. The whole air of the sub switched seemingly in a matter of days. Points that I made just months earlier that were upvoted the fuck out of was being downvoted. Even hinting towards the idea that you as a man don't need a woman to define you was met with hostility. One day a super stupid makes a post that rubbed me the wrong way. I let him have it, but within the rules of the sub. Wasn't belligerent, offensive of hateful. But I did hand him his ass. Two or so hours later, I'm banned with a message saying "MGTOW has no place here".

I'd heard the term used in passing on TRP, but having this mod (who will go unnamed) ban and throw shade at me for apparently being MGTOW got me thinking "maybe I need to look into this". So I did. Eventually it lead me to various MGTOW gathering places on the net, including here. Been here ever since. TRP is merely a step in the process of regaining your freedom as a man. A small step at that. I don't miss the place...at all. Their ideals are short sighted at best.

Red pill taught me a lot of healthy things like self improvement, putting my self before women, not letting women walk all over you etc which really helped at the time. I was one of them "Nice Guys" raised by a single mother that didn't have a fucking clue about how the world really worked. It helped me get laid and have better relationships with women but ultimately I was putting on a bit of a front that wasn't true to who I actually was. MGTOW is more suited for me as its more about just not caring and living as yourself instead of pretending to be someone else to impress bar skanks.
