Peterson was never a prophet of any kind. Hes a damn Canadian intellectual. Most college professors are liberal morons. Peterson says some true shit and some dumb shit. He is just selling books and living that public intellectual life. He will never be a mgtow.

Hm. Shame'nblame coming from a MGTOW? Disappointing. If you are going to make these accusations, include at least a tldr backing them up beyond "he is your enemy because he is your enemy".

The way I see Peterson is that he is a tradcon who heavily advocates for the classic model and empowering men through men shouldering the burden of society - and in doing so seizing the respect of that society. Problem is, in the current zeitgeist, that doesn't work, because respect for shouldering burdens is gone. In fact, feminists how actively advocate for men to reduce their workload so the lasses can keep up and appear to be on an equal base of performance. Peterson's a well spoken individual, chooses his words carefully. His opinion of MGTOW however... he never did rescind calling us pathetic weasels, did he? He said he regretted having said it, but not that he did not mean what he said. Important distinction.

Still, he makes some good points, and it's often a pleasure to watch him coldly deconstruct the emotional reasoning of feminists and leftists. What he gets for his efforts is also to be expected - when logic fails, attack the person, and so he is suddenly part of the altright that despises him. 'Tis the regressive way to cast everyone not kowtowing to them as such.

Fine but why aren't you referencing Vox Day who was the one to originally bring this up a year ago and wrote a whole book on it, Jordanetics: A Journey Into the Mind of Humanity's Greatest Thinker.

Take what you need and leave out the rest, he's a tradcon happily married. I don't think he'd ever advocate for MGTOW but some of his insights are rather useful and worth watching. Be open to opposite views but always have a healthy dose of scepticism.

Take the good with the bad with JP. He did apologize to the MGTOW community for his characterization of them. Also, he's not wrong in believing that the family unit is the stabilizing force in successful societies, it absolutely is.

So he preaches that we should all have families, and for society's greater good, we probably should.

But that's all theoretical, and unfortunately, we have to live in the real world where times have changed and men have to understand how society is fucking them over in a big way.

So that's where his an my path diverge. So I can learn and understand the theory, but not have to adopt and/or internalize everything he says for my own life.

And he's not asking that of you. Ultimately, especially with the recommendations of his new book (which I haven't read but I have heard critiqued, his influence on men, not just young white men, is an overall positive more than a negative, on balance.

It's good for young men to make something of their lives, and he helps them do that.

Recommending marriage though, that is worth questioning, and through his apology to the MGTOW community, I think he understands that too.
