i know a guy that i see once in a while from high school where he THOUGHT he wanted to get married and have kids, but now since time keeps going on, a few years later he realizes he made a HUGE mistake! he's unhappy, he's very stressed, they have 3 kids now, he works his ASS OFF as an accountant and does stuff on the side even and THAT is not enough for sustaining a comfortable life for 3 kids and a wife. She does some office job too and her income with his is a shit ton of money, but after the diapers, the bills, the payments, the taxes, the food, the water, the laundry detergent, the napkins, baby formula, shots, preschool etc they barely have enough to get by each month.

It's fucking insane! He is absolutely miserable when I see him every few months and he knows he made a mistake, but he's owning up to it since there is no backing out now. sad situation..but hey...we warned him :/ he didnt listen

This reminds me of a buddy that wistfully looks at my third beer because his wife had a short lease on him and doesn't like him to drink with the fellas. He ha's one beer then gargles water to get the smell off and runs back home early not to piss her off.
