To be honest, there is no such thing as a rational progressive these days.

To your points, there is no way to get around the fact that abortion after a few months is ending a human life, it is essentially murder. You can argue the morality of the act but you can't argue that life in the womb is not life. We don't magically go from a non living creature to suddenly a living creature.

Why does the notion of Making America Great Again offend you? That is a good thing we should all want, we should all want our nation to be great. The current regressive socialists, progressives and communists all seem to preach against nationalism. They keep trying to push the cancer that is globalism will only lead to more authoritarianism.

We shouldn't have so much power rooted in the United Nations or any other international body.

When men here talk about taking any rights away for women, they talk about this: taking away the extra rights and privileges that women unfairly have over men:

Such as women not being forced to sign up for selective service,

Women always receiving preferential and reduced sentencing for equivalent crimes

Women are always deemed as the victim even when there is evidence of them committing rape or domestic violence against a male

This is what most of us want changed.

That is not taking women's rights away, this is enforcing true gender equality.

Go look at the current progressive movement, they say they want gender equality but they will only do things that benefit women and actively push policies to harm men.

Current progressives say they fight for equality for all races and what they do? They always enforce affirmative action quotas against White and Asian men.

Current progressives say they support the freedom of speech?

What do they do?, they currently are attempting to silence all opposing voices who are not part of their progressive clique.

Also I do have some compassion for the people that are truly suffering but I don't think giving them free shit and having them rely on a large government is the answer to their problems.I actively support donating to good charities that actually spend money to help those in need and I think that is a lot better solution than relying on government bureaucrats.

I agree with your sentiment, and think you're coming from the right place with it, but the reality is that we live in the real world.

I think any functioning person would be happy with any sort of utopia you could imagine, including free quality healthcare and education -but utopias do not exist. Somebody has to pay for it. Human beings are motivated by success and economics.

In the example of health care, obviously the industry wouldn't just collapse overnight -far from it, look at Canada. But also, look at Canada -shit quality care with terrible wait times. If I'm really sick, I don't want to wait 7 hours for some burned out doctor who thought he got into med school to not only help people, but to also become wealthy, look over a chart for 20 seconds and then tell me to take an over the counter pain reliever.

Same with education. I think it would be dandy if I could get a quality education for free, but that simply doesn't work. You aren't going to get your best and brightest in a system absent capitalism.

Insurance, at the end of the day, is a good thing. So is tuition. It drives people by their selfish and innate desires to make bankrolls, and they develop superior products and services.

So I think, from what I've read above, your real concern lies with the fact that human nature is typically self centered and people like to get rich.

And I'm okay with people having that belief, greed in and of itself is not a great quality -but without it, lots of people aren't going to have incentive to be great. Sure, a few will do really well regardless of their income, and those are truly caring people who are in it for their own reasons.

But the vast majority would simply become stale, burned out, and the service quality of literally any "free x" industry would bottom out.

There's a reason foreign nationals send their kids to the US for school. There's also a reason people in socialized healthcare countries choose private practitioners when they can afford it.

Then there's the argument from the socialist side of things, "Well yea, but at least there's a guaranteed minimum for the people who can't afford it" -that's true, but there is also a guaranteed minimum right now. If you're truly sick or injured, no hospital is going to turn you away -they can't. If you go into an ER, you WILL get treatment, and that treatment will be better than if it were in the ER of a socialized system full of burned out employees. You might get a bill that you can't pay, but so what? What are they going to do? Take it out in collections? Put it on your credit report?

I'm not saying the system is perfect, far from it -but it's a lot closer to working than just throwing our hand in the air and screaming, "Hey look everybody, there's free healthcare over here!"

So for one, its definitely not a utopia Im envisioning. Most countries in the world already have both guaranteed healthcare and education. And you seem to have a lot of misconceptions about the quality of the healthcare and education in those places. A lot of that just simply isnt true. And if you think the rising cost of tuition is increasing the quality of education, that seems a bit misguided as well. They are continuing to charge more because they can, not because their product is becoming better. Most of these colleges are coming up with BS degree programs that serve no real world purpose but her tuition is still rising. Countries with guaranteed healthcare have better outcomes and no medical debt, ever. Here you get cancer and you have to file for bankrupcy. Its absurd. Countries with guaranteed education also end up with much higher wages than us because their workforce is educated. (Probably also has a lot to do with them reigning in corporate greed but still). I see where youre coming from but there seems to be a disconnect where people like you seem to think this is impossible and too good to be true, and then people like me who think it is extremely achievable because it has been done all over the world with success. And I have nothing against people getting rich at all. Its what motivates people after all. Its just when greedy corporations that make billions dont pay their employees a living wage and then store their profits in an offshore tax haven, thats when i start to have problems. Honestly as extreme as that sounds, it will most definitely without a doubt improve this nation if it happened.

Female voters are responsible for many of the worst policies coming to pass especially the preferential treatment that they receive in all matters.

They are also responsible for most of the progressive virtue signalling affirmative action policies and the open borders "diversity" pushing bullshit.

I am realistic though and know that unless a great war or collapse happens and the smart side wins, there won't ever be a denial of voting rights for them.

However the scary part is that if feminists continue to gain more power, they will definitely try to deny voting rights to anyone not kowtowing to their idealogy, then society is really fully done for.

Women getting the vote is honestly one of the worst things to happen to western society.

I am a libertarian but women having the vote is one of the hardest things for me to condone when they have proven time and time again to vote for the worst candidates and worst policies just because of their hive-mind virtue signalling nature.

Sometimes I like to debate with one leftist girl who is really active politically. She is unable to have wise arguments, she has no facts, cannot speak English or doesn't read news.

For example I asked about huge mass of refugees. She was like: "There NO downsides in that. You will get culture richer and kebab restaurants." Then I asked about rapes by muslim refugees. She was like: "Well, Europeans rape also. They rape more."
