This is actually the worst divorce story I've ever heard. I can't even imagine myself in this guy's shoes. This is worse than any horror story (real or fiction) I've ever heard.

What fucking universe is this anymore? She should have no rights to that property or that trust in a fair and real world. Holy fuck though talk about hiding your true colors until the moment presents itself. Women are way more scary than men.

The reason this hits so hard is because of the wanton disregard for humanity in some women. That and the fact that those assets were passed down to him from his parents! Assets that he grew up with! HIS FUCKING CHILDHOOD HOME! HOLY FUCKING GOD! This woman really should be disappeared.

Sorry to say this because I don't want to look like I'm advocating this sort of thing, but he would be better off killing her (and even Chad if he is married to her) and do 30-40 years in jail (what is the maximum in his State?) and then get out... and try to live a good life in the years that remain...

But one point doesn't convince me. How is it possible that he still has to pay the bitch if she is in a new relationship? Shouldn't payments to her stop if she engages again?

when I was younger i had to deal with an abusive mother. when i eventually revealed this to my father, who was smart enough not to marry, after two failed marriages that ended badly, did the following.

kicked her put of the house
told her to get a job and pay back all the money she owed him

This is is horrible and sadly it's the norm. Slowly but surely more men will come to the conclusion that you don't marry, cohabit with,or breed with women. That's a shitty trust. My father in law has been married twice. All the farmland he owns is untouchable from his exwives. They can't take a damn thing from him. Any child support payments or spousal supports can always be adjusted depending upon his current pay. If he switches jobs, he could go to the court and ask the judge to change the alimony or child support payments. Allegations of abuse and assault need to be backed up by police reports. These judges hears shitty accusations like this all day, I don't think a competent judge will just agree to slanderous accusations just because. This whole story just sounds someone idiotic if true or just a fabrication. If you're gonna get put through the system, at least learn it and know it and learn to use it to your advantage.

As the male, you get to pay child support, alimony in some States and give up half the assets. On top of that access to your kids is very limited in most case. It's very tough to be a Dad to them.

I knew a guy like that once. He got fed up and ended up homeless and wouldn't work because any money he made would go straight to his wife. He was a vet so he could stay in military barracks for a small fee (a little known benefit in some places,) so a bunch of us when I was in the National Guard would chip in so he could stay in barracks and eat mess hall food for a while. We didn't give him the money, we paid for the barracks and mess hall privileges in advance in his name, otherwise he would have drank it all.
