This is my ex-wife who lied to me and cheated. She was young when I met her, naive to a degree, and little life experience. 8 years later, she has benefited from having a solid, responsible partner in me that helped her grow a lot. I made sure the budget was done, bills were paid, issues taken care of, and made sure to give her attention and let her know I loved her.

She "grew up" and had an affair and apparently lied about one thing or another since our very first date.

You build her up, she'll knock ya down. No warning, no marriage counseling, no discussion... Just out of the blue your marriage is destroyed.
