As you get older you learn no one truly gives a fuck about you. Yet despite that, others expect you to care. No one gives you that same shit in return.

The only solution here is to work and save your money. Let the crabs in the bucket fend for themselves, they won't show you any sympathy when you go through a hard time so give them no attention or consideration. They don't care about your wellbeing after all.

Work, save, get a nice "fuck you" money account going and don't waste your time on dating or pissing away resources on those who don't value you.

There's nothing wrong with being selfish. In fact, the current environment we live in has ensured that one has to develop selfishness as a survival mechanism.
