I know a girl who was excited about a guy and was telling how he worked in high end Silicon Valley before. We are not living in USA by the way. I thought she was proud in her new bf. Then her mother raised the issue that how he never paid bill and they always split, a week later she broke up with the guy.

She is a fat feminist who appears to be always up for gender equality but she can't help giving hints that how obsessed with money she is. She once even said "BMI charts are ridiculous, according to it I'm obese but we know that I'm not". Delusions.

The iPhone 6 is a perfectly capable phone. If it does what he needs, it would be a stupid financial move to buy an upgrade that he doesn't need. She's essentially demanding that he make foolish financial choices. Just because you can afford to buy something does not mean that you should.

She clearly doesn't know the difference between being rich and being wealthy. U could have an iPhone 12 pro and be up to your neck in debt, and you could have (god forbid it) an Android and be living comfortably.

If anything, you save so much money by not going for the stupid $1000 yearly upgrades for a slightly better model.

My friend has a recent years phone, one drop and it break the screen. You can not read or type. You need to pay to change the screen. It is expensive to do so. Etc.

and i still have my iphone 5s why should i buy a new one when its still working fine? My sister sister ask me why i dont get a new one thats what i told her. She then tried to ridicule me for it, until i pointed out that she is constantly broke because she buys a new phone every year, designer clothes etc. Do you see the difference?
