So a hot girl I went to school with got fat after graduation. She figured out that the attention from Chad dried up, and lost the weight. She then went to school for 'exercise science.' She looked pretty good at the ten year reunion. The wall approached and she got a facelift and probably some other nips and tucks. So at forty she still looked pretty good. Now at the thirty year reunion she was pushing fifty. The plastic surgery is starting to sag, and it looks extra fucked up. So pretty much dedicating her life to fighting the effects of aging bought her about ten years.

Gwyneth is 46, and based on a few images I've seen my guess is she has maybe nine or so more years of getting by. Now consider that the girl I went to school with dedicated herself to fighting off aging, and was done at about fifty. She would most likely have continued that if her husband had been able to afford additional procedures, etc.

Gwyneth here most likely does much the same since she kind of has a beauty brand based around it, has financial access to more and better procedures, and can also afford the aforementioned team of people dedicated to keeping her skin as artificially tight as possible. This would appear to have gotten her around five more years over the girl I went to school with if my projection is accurate.

In the end it seems like fighting the wall is like shearing seconds off your quarter mile in drag racing: There's a point where each additional second you shave off becomes exponentially more expensive than the last. Ditto that for each year these women stave off the wall.
