When I do think about my favourite ex, I think about how she betrayed me and how I’m not even interested in her BS anymore.

I was watching a sandman video that came out recently that said men becoming sex starved is the easiest way to have them destroy their own society, because they see their lack of status and power and the reason they are unable to get a woman and so they turn that anger towards the system that has starved them of that power.

I completely agree.

It's only human to do so. We're biologically programmed to want to mate with women and we're programmed by society to want to have a long-term relationship with them. When you get into a relationship, it can be wonderful.

The important thing is to not simply look back with rose-colored lenses. There were bad things, otherwise the ex wouldn't be an ex. Remember the good times fondly, but remember the price you paid for those good times.

Yes. We weren't designed to "break-up". It's not normal or healthy, despite what is programmed into us by society. Breaking up is actually quite harmful to people. Need evidence of what I am saying? Look around you...if you live in west..

I'm very stoic when it comes to these kind of things, although I'm not a machine, when these kind of moments happens I usually think to myself that it's only worth thinking about things that you can do something about, and there's nothing I can do about past relationships.

I don't anymore. Once I realized I was better off without them, I stopped. Sometimes I do have that fantasy of having a partner who works with me and supports me and I would support her, but that kind of woman is an extinct species, so it's pointless to want something that doesn't exist.

I'm thankful to have had some happy memories.

It's good to have some ups and downs in your 20's. Life experience.

BUT... when we're 30, 40, 50... maybe we all agree we don't need so much drama through every decade. I'd rather just have peaceful but perhaps boring days.

I remember some of the good times...but damn, there were few of those and they grew rarer with the passing of time. I remember being treated decently for a few days after I mentioned breakup and moving away; alas, that was while there were still a few months left on the apartment lease, and she remembered that too so she went back to treating me like shit again.

Perhaps the only good thing about those times were the cat and the dog. And work which thankfully kept me away from her for several hours a day.

I never do that. This is one of the reasons I don't deal with relationships with women anymore: once she betrays you, and that will happen, you have wasted all those years having experiences you don't care to remember anymore. Large periods of your life become just a wasteland.

Yeah sometimes. It's not healthy, but I still do it. Part of me wants to get married, show affection to my imaginary wife, raise kids, etc., but the rational in me knows it's a bad idea. There's really no other choice.

Hopefully with time I'll forget these women were even a part of my past, but who knows.
